By mid March, Yoongi feels like he knows Jimin fairly well. They talk almost non-stop on the bus in the morning, and occasionally when they ride the bus home, and Yoongi doesn't have to stay late at the studio. He knows Jimin's favourite colour is yellow, and that he's more of a cat person (although he can make an exception for Holly). He knows that he loves plants, and that dance serves the same purpose for him that music does for Yoongi. He knows that Jimin likes pastel colours and light clothing, and that he feels too serious when he wears black. He learns that Jimin prefers tea to coffee, that he's got a big sweet tooth, and that his favourite season is Spring. He quickly learns that Jimin is a bit of a touchy person, and likes to hold Yoongi's hand and rest his head against his shoulder. Yoongi's never really been one for affection, but he likes it when Jimin does it. Maybe he's just biased, but there's something about the way Jimin does it that doesn't make it cringy, or cheesy, or even clingy. Jimin just holds his hand and continues the conversation like Yoongi's not internally screaming or freaking out over the fact that he's getting to hold his hand.

But unfortunately, Yoongi's also picked up on several...well Yoongi doesn't know if he should call it a habit, or a pattern, but he notices small things that maybe Jimin doesn't think he picked up on. He notices that Jimin never wears t-shirts. He's always wearing pants and a heavy sweater or long sleeve, and that if you can see his collarbones, he tends to pull his shirt up continuously like he's trying to hide them. Of course, the snow hasn't melted yet, but even when they're in the laundromat, where the heat is always on full blast, Jimin's still bundled up in several heavy layers, and continues to pull his shirt up to his chin.

He notices the way Jimin flinches or holds his breath whenever he makes a loud noise, or says something in a low voice, or even when he moves too quickly - such as raising his hand. It's like Jimin thinks he's going to hit him or something and that worries Yoongi. He picks up on how when he asks about the noises, Jimin brushes him off or says it's the wind. He sees the way Jimin will glance over his shoulder into the darkness of his apartment, like something is watching him from the shadows.

Yoongi knows something is wrong - he doesn't believe Jimin is really that clumsy. He wants to say something but he doesn't have all the facts and he doesn't want to upset Jimin. The last thing he wants is for the younger to shut him out.
