"You guys wanna go to an oldies style diner for lunch?" Yoongi prompted, glancing at his friends.
"Oldies?" Noah says, raising a brow. "Like how old is old?" she questioned.
"Like the fifties,"
"The fifties?" Namjoon let out a chuckle. "I don't know Yoongi, that's not really our scene,"
"Yeah, and since when are you into the fifties," Hoseok piped up. Yoongi shrugged, and then peered at Noah.
"Jimin works there," he stated. "But I mean, if you guys don't want to meet him-"
"Shut up we're going,"
Jimin was right. It was like the fifties inside, and Yoongi wondered whether or not he'd gone back in time. The booths were pastel pink and baby blue, and there was a soft beige/yellow wallpaper decorating the whole front half. Pink bar stools lined against the counter, and in the far corner of the room was a bright red jukebox. Yoongi could hear Elvis coming out of the speaker. "This is really old," Hoseok noted, glancing around.
"Uh huh," Yoongi nodded. The place was almost jam packed for Tuesday afternoon, with most of the customers being elderly couples. "Oldies indeed,"
Before the four of them had a chance to comment on the remainder of their surroundings, Yoongi could see Jimin come around the corner.
"Hey!" he called, giving Yoongi a wide smile. He seemed surprised to see the older, but he immediately went shy when he noticed that Yoongi wasn't alone. "What are you doing here?" he mumbled softly as Yoongi gave him a hug. "I wasn't expecting you,"
"We couldn't decide on where to eat, and well...I was curious about where you worked. You remember Noah?"
"Hi again," she said with a wink.
"Hi,"
"This is Hoseok, Noah's older brother, and this clumsy giant right here is Namjoon," Yoongi said, introducing everyone. "Namjoon, Hoseok, this is Jimin,"
"It's nice to finally meet you Jimin," Namjoon said, holding a hand out for the younger to shake. Jimin took it shyly. "We're heard a lot about you,"
"All good things I hope," Jimin squeaked.
"Of course," Hoseok said with a dimpled smile. "Yoongi doesn't shut up about you,"
Jimin blushed. "Um, you guys can sit anywhere you want," he said motioning to the booths behind him. "I'd stay and chat but I am kind of working,"
"We'll find a seat," Noah whispered in passing.
When they were all alone Jimin pouted at him. "You should have told me you were coming, I would have made sure I was on lunch or something. I would have made an effort to look good too," he added. Yoongi rolled his eyes, and kissed Jimin's cheek.
"I think you look great," he told the younger. "And it was a spur of the moment kind of idea. I'll warn you next time,"
"Promise?"
"I promise,"
"I'll hold you to that,"
