Yoongi can't focus as he does his laundry early the following morning. Normally the sun would put him in a good mood - there was no snowstorm, it's path had changed - but he's so worried about Jimin that not even nice weather can help drag him out of his worries.
He didn't ask any questions yesterday morning, and he nearly passed out on him when he got on the bus. It wasn't the Jimin he was used to being around. He missed his laugh and smile, and that one day of Jimin not being a bubbly ball of energy was enough to freak him out.
Everyone has bad days, Yoongi, he reminded himself.
Yes but that didn't seem like a bad day, that seemed like someone who'd just given up on life.
He wants Jimin to be happy, but he doesn't know how to do that if he doesn't know what's hurting Jimin in the first place. He doesn't want to worry about Jimin - not in this way that is. He wants to know he's one hundred percent okay so that he can sleep soundly at night, knowing he doesn't have to kick anyone's ass.
So it doesn't help when Jimin comes into the laundromat looking absolutely dead, with bruising all along his shoulder and down his arm. Yoongi also takes note that this is the first time he's seen Jimin in a t-shirt. It's a simple plain white tee that hangs loosely on his frame. His upper bicep is a dark blue. It makes his stomach churn, and he feels like he's going to be sick.
And of course, Jimin notices the way Yoongi is staring at him.
"I fell in practice," Jimin says before Yoongi can even ask about it. "We're trying to do this lift in our routine, and unfortunately I fell a couple times. It's not as bad as it looks, Hyung, I promise,"
But Yoongi doesn't seem convinced.
"And your shoulder?" Yoongi almost whispers it, because he knows that if he raises his voice any higher, Jimin will flinch at the sound.
"I landed on it once or twice,"
Yoongi isn't convinced in the slightest. Jimin sighed as he set his basket down on the table, and surprised Yoongi by hugging him. Jimin's head is resting on his shoulder, and his arms and hanging loosely around his waist. Yoongi doesn't hesitate to wrap his arms around Jimin's neck, and bury his face in the younger's hair. He smells like strawberries and mangoes. "I'm sorry I'm so clumsy," Jimin whispered to him.
"Don't apologize," Yoongi tells him. "It isn't your fault,"
"But you're worried about me...I know you are,"
"I just don't like seeing you get hurt,"
"I know, and I'm sorry that I-"
"It's okay Jimin. As long as you're here, right in front of me, I'll be okay,"
"I wish you wouldn't worry,"
Yeah, me too.
