"I want to do something spontaneous,"
"Huh?" Yoongi peered over at Jimin with a funny look. He grimaced everytime he got a look at Jimin's face - the swelling had gone down slightly, but it still looked sore. It didn't stop Jimin from having a positive attitude, and sometimes Yoongi wondered if Jimin was really happy or if it was just an act for him.
"I want to do something spontaneous," he repeated.
"What? Like right now?"
"Yep, right now," and Yoongi can't tell if Jimin is being serious or not. He doesn't have to ask again, because Jimin is getting up out of his seat and heading for the door.
"Jimin!" he called out, surprised by the younger's outburst of energy. When he catches his eyes, Jimin is looking over his shoulder at him with a wide smile. The sun hasn't gone down yet, and Yoongi's caught him in the glow of golden hour, and if Yoongi wasn't in love, he was now. Jimin was like an angel in the soft glow of the sunlight that seemed to dance all around him.
"Well?" he prompts. "Aren't you coming?"
Yoongi chuckled, and hurried after him. At this point, he'd follow Jimin anywhere.
Yoongi doesn't know how many times he's passed through his neighbourhood before. It feels strange to be standing amongst it, to finally get to know it's secrets, and most importantly, to figure them out with Jimin.
Jimin wasted no time in pulling him away from the bus stop. Yoongi let out a cry of surprise but it was quickly followed by laughter as he struggled to keep up with Jimin. "Where are you taking me?!" he questioned as Jimin let go of his sweater sleeve, and ran down the sidewalk.
"I don't know! That's the beauty of it! We can go anywhere Min Yoongi!"
And yeah, he's definitely in love at this point.
Yoongi can't remember the last time he's done this much walking. By the time seven o'clock rolled around, he felt as if he'd been all over. He feels like a tourist in his own city and he wonders if this is what it's like to be one of those people in downtown - the ones that never stop and are always on the go. He lets Jimin drag him into gas stations and convenience stores, and thrift shops. They make a mental note to come back to the one they went in because Yoongi took an interest in their record collection, and Jimin liked their mug selection. He lets Jimin drag him up onto a small bridge so they could watch the sunset set over the area, and into parks where they sat on swings and talked for what felt like hours. They bought gas station snacks and ran through alleyways. If this was Jimin's idea of spontaneous, Yoongi was ready to do it all over again the next day. He craved it. He felt as if he had learned so much about Jimin in that one outing than he had in the past three months.
