Yoongi's working late again. He wouldn't have agreed to do so if it wasn't for the pay. He apologized to Jimin, and told him he wouldn't be on the bus that night. He frowned when Jimin texted him.
To: Yoongi (sent may 15 5:01 pm)
From: Jimin:(
I'll miss you
I wish I could see
you at work.
It's nearly midnight when he gets home, and Yoongi still hasn't finished putting the final pieces together on his work, which means he'll probably end up working late into the evening. He's exhausted and sore from having to sit for so long, and he's in dire need of food. And it's like the universe heard his thoughts, because as he fished his keys out of his pocket, and almost jumped, startled by the fact that Jimin is standing outside his apartment with a container in his hands. "Hungry?" he quips, holding up the container. Yoongi smiled tiredly.
"You're a godsend," he whispered.
"I didn't know if you ate or not, and Jin had leftovers so I snagged a couple containers," Jimin explained as Yoongi opened up his apartment. Holly was waiting for him, jumping up and down.
"I know, Holly, I see you," Yoongi chuckled, bending down to pat the dog in the head. He kicked his shoes off with a heavy sigh. Jimin moved past him into the kitchen area and set the container down on the counter and found a plate for Yoongi. "I'll fix you something to eat in a minute," Yoongi said, still talking to Holly. He set his things down on the couch and flopped down.
"Tired?" Jimin asked.
"Very, but I still have some work to do," he sighed. "Gotta get it done, y'know?"
Jimin nodded. "But first food - ah, no arguing,"
While Yoongi ate, Jimin filled him in on his day - something he would have done on the bus. It was incredibly busy today, and Jimin felt like his arms were going to fall off. Yoongi's day wasn't as eventful. He spent most of the day in the studio with several artists, tracking vocals for a new song on an upcoming album. His ass was sore from sitting all day.
Yoongi felt better after he ate. He could think properly. He placed his dish in the sink, and glanced back over his shoulder at Jimin. Yoongi suddenly got an idea. "Jimin?"
"Yeah?" Jimin was looking at him with a tired smile. It was nearing one in the morning, and Yoongi could imagine that Jimin was incredibly exhausted.
"Did you still want to see me work?"
"Mmm hmm,"
"Then come with me," Yoongi said, motioning with his head for the younger to follow. Jimin rose from the couch and followed Yoongi into the darkness of his apartment. They stopped outside a door across from the bathroom. Jimin had never been in this room of Yoongi's apartment yet, but he knew that, judging by the layout of his own apartment, he knew that it wouldn't be very big.
"What's in here?" Jimin asked. Yoongi pushed open the door in response.
Yoongi had made the best of his space though. A desk has been shoved up against the far wall, and there were a series of monitors and soundboards neatly and carefully placed on top of the desk. A couch was pushed up against the right wall, and there was an ikea shelving unit to the left. He'd put it to good use, unlike Jimin who only used his spare room for storage. He could barely walk in there some days. "This is where I work away from work," Yoongi said, leading Jimin into the room and shutting the door behind them. He flicked on the light, which came from a small lamp. There were no overhead lights in the room. "You can sit on the couch if you want,"
