Problem

3rd person pov

"Jarvis is there anything else on my schedule today" asked Pepper.

"No ma'am, do you need anything else" replied Jarvis.

"Yes!!! where are Pete and Morg??" Asked Pepper again.

"They are in the high intern lab but have isolated themselves and do not wished to be distributed" replied Jarvis.

"Why doesn't it surprise me?" Pepper sighed as she walked into the lab. They immediately stopped working and greeted their CEO. Well, everyone except Peter and Morgan, Morgan who didn't even notice her coming. And Peter who motioned that they need a minute.

"Whoever you are, we need a minute, if anything goes wrong, it could blow up the entire tower" He said because of spidey sense.

"Authorisation required followed by biometric scan for the selected action" said Jarvis. "Peter" said Pete as he was scanning his hand. "scan completed, User authorised,  Running tests.... prototype successful, files download". "YEEEESSSSSSS" both shouted as they started to wrap up their work.

"Why is it so important" asked Emily who was just a intern. "If the every part of the project works according to the way we planned it to, it could produce the 2000J/s for 10 years. It is the next step of the evolution on clean energy" Morgan replied still not looking up.

"Why do you not look so good" said Pepper. "Haven't slept in 5 days, god bless coffee and make-up to hide from moOOOOM, what are you doing here" said Peter, finally looking up from work and the sight startled her causing Morgan to look up.

(A minute of awkward silence)

"So how long were you there, so we can build around that.... No? nothing!! great" asked Peter with a mix of hope and sarcasm.

Pepper just turned around walked towards to lift she heard "Mom, we are sorry" she just kept walking and and left the lab.

"Great, J where is mom" asked Peter "she is in her room" replied Jarvis "Could you also tell Karen to not prepare wardrobe. This is gonna be a long evening" said Morgan, directing the last part to Peter and he just nodded in agreement as they exited the lab.

Peter's pov

We made their way to mom's room and knocked on the door. There was a faint 'come in' so we came in. Mom was sitting in her chair looking outside the window. Dad also sitting in the sofa. We took 2 chair opposite to her chair.

"Uh, I want to apologize for the disobedience and the scene created." I murmured as he slowly walked to the table.

"An apology is accepted," she said in a monotonous tone, still turning her back to him.

"Can you look at me? Mom, please," I rasped.

"Some times I think, I would have a normal husband and kids rather that crazy genius who are part spider" said mom as she turned he chair. "But where fun in that" said Morgan. At this everyone giggled.

"Maybe, but imagine how much stress and nerve would save me." Said Pepper seriously

"I am sorry." Me and Morg said in unison.

"Don't apologize. Would it be nice to have a normal life? Maybe. But I wouldn't trade mine for anything," she said with a small smile.

"I know it's not easy for you but we don't need that much rest because we are part spider, we only need 4-6 hours of sleep" Morg said in a matter of factly tone. "And for being part spiders as long as I have something to say, I'll make sure my dad, Morg and I always come home." I continued

"I want to believe you, Petey, really. But after all the years I live with Tony, I know this promise is not fulfilled. And that's all right, hun. I know what life I chose. But playing with your health and then going to patrol half-asleep is more bad and unexpectable. And I looked over of you being spider-lings and what not, but not you are playing with your health" I became serious after hearing the tone of mom.

I looked at Morgan and she nodded so I spoke "mom, I'm so so sorry. But we were so close and it made us ambitious and-".

"That doesn't mean that you play with you health" replied mom cutting me off.

"You know we love you, don't you?" Asked Morgan.

"And I love you, Morg. It doesn't change the fact that you both are playing with your health and it gives me heart attack that you will come with a bullet wound or gash or SOMETHING FATAL that could be avoided if you both were awake."

"Yeah, okay, that makes sense," she murmured.

"Now that the talk is over I am grounding you both" sais mom. "We are already grounded because we didn't told you we are spiders" I reminded. "Ok, now Your lab privileges have been revoked, no reading or gym or conversation about quantum theory or any science stuff, now go to your room and see tv or do something on phone. God I can't even give normal punishment" said mom putting her head on her hand.

"Mom this is so unfair"

"yah, mom what do you want us to do all night?"

"Sleep!!!" she said in a dangerously low tone.

That tone sent shivers down the spine. I know it's useless to argue.

"Well ok, I will, but so far I have received nothing. Where is my kiss?" I asked teasingly, Pepper finally smiled fully and got up from her chair to kiss his forehead.

"You gave him one. Where is mine!?!" Asked Morg playfully but Pepper got up one again and kissed her forehead too.
