CHAPTER TEN
"Where to?" Jaehyun asked, Sooah walking out the school beside him.
She shrugged. "Up to you, you said you wanted to get some food?"
He nodded. "There's this really good cafe down the street, let's go there."
Sooah nodded and followed Jaehyun along the way.
"Jaehyun!" Someone called out the second the two walked into the restaurant.
"Taeil, hi!" He waved.
"Is she the one you keep talking ab-"
"This is Sooah. Sooah, meet Taeil." Jaehyun's cheeks crimsoned as he quickly cut Taeil's words.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Sooah." She smiled at him.
Jaehyun let out a breath of relief and shot Taeil a death glare.
"Go find a seat you lovebirds."
"D-Don't listen to him, let's go." He stuttered and pulled Sooah away and towards a seat near a window.
"Sorry about that." Jaehyun apologized shyly."It's okay." Sooah laughed.
"You come here often?" She tried changing the subject, noticing how nervous Jaehyun was.He nodded. "I come here almost everyday. Taeil's the owner and we're close friends."
Sooah nodded.
...
"Yeah, then I told him he shouldn't do that but guess what? He did and he broke the door."
Sooah's eyes teard up, laughing way too much from all the things Jaehyun has been telling her. But their conversation got really serious in a matter of seconds.
"Jaehyun?"
He looked up at her. "Yeah?"
"Does Chan still like Lina?" Sooah asked unsure.
Jaehyun shrugged. "I don't know, ask him." He laughed.
Sooah rolled her eyes. "Jaehyun, I'm serious."
"If you ask me, I really don't know. He hates me, he won'g tell me anything."
"You're not wrong..." she replied.
"Why'd you ask?"
"Huh? No reason."
...
"Bye Taeil!"
Jaehyun and Sooah left the restaurant, walking down the street.
"Thanks for today, Jaehyun." Sooah smiled at him.
"You're welcome. I'm glad you wanted to grab some food with me." He smiled back.
Sooah's cheeks crimsoned. "Let's go grab some food again some time-"
Her phone buzzed, signalling someone texted her. She rummaged her hands inside her backpack and snatched out her phone.
Me, you, date tomorrow. I'll pick you up.
~Bang Chan"It's Chan." Sooah told Jaehyun.
"What did he say?"
She showed her phone screen to Jaehyun, who bursted out a laugh.
"Don't you dare laugh." Sooah glared.
"I'm gonna say no.""And you think he's gonna accept it?"
Her fingertips stopped typing as she stared blankly at her phone.
"You're right." Sooah sighed.
"Fine, I'll just say yes. Only once." She huffed and typed a simple 'fine'.
"Can you go with me?"Jaehyun looked at her with shock. "Huh? You're crazy, I'll be third wheeling."
"Third wheeling? No way. I won't even consider it a date."
"Just go, he probably really wants to get to know you more."
"I don't." Sooah mumbled.
"Then, can I text you whenever Chan gets on my nerves?""You can text me anytime." Jaehyun laughed.
"But, why don't you want to get to know Chan more? I don'g know if I said this before but Chan is actually a really nice person, he has a broken heart and it's barely fixed.""Then, I won't be the one who can fix his heart, Lina can." She replied.
"You haven't tried."
"What about you? Do you like Lina, your soulmate?"
Jaehyun shook his head. "I met Lina a couple times before me and Chan's friendship broke. I just- I don't know, I never felt anything towards her, even after her and Chan broke up."
"You haven't tried." Sooah replied, copying what Jaehyun said.
"But, how did you become friends with Chan? He's one year above right?""Yeah, we're in the basketball team. That's how we became friends." He explained.
"I see... oh, we're already here. I'll see you tomorrow, Jaehyun." Sooah waved.
"See you, Sooah. Goodnight."
Sooah entered her house, closing the door behind him. Jaehyun started walking away, heading towards his house.
He stared at his wrist. "Why can't you just be L.S.A?"
