Aside from volleyball on a flat court, beach volleyball is my favorite sport, and I enjoy playing it kapag may beach outing akong nasasamahan. And most of the time, I played to show off my sporty side since I was a part of the volleyball team noong high school days ko. Nadala ko naman hanggang college, but I couldn't manage to fulfill so many commitments at that time. I chose my social life over sports na kailangan talagang committed ako sa practice. Of course, Arthas is life ako dati kaya isa siya sa malaking rason kaya ayokong mag-apply sa varsity team noong college.
Hindi naman sa gusto kong yabangan si Rico kasi first time ko lang siyang makakalaro sa beach volleyball, but somehow, I was thrilled by the thought of it. There was something creeping at the back of my mind, saying isang achievement ang ilampaso siya habang kalaban ko ang mga babaeng pulos bihasa sa laro namin.
Pabida kasi masyado sina Will at Clark, nakakainis tuloy kausap.
"Heads or tail?" tanong ni Rico habang may ipinaiikot sa daliring barya.
"Tail," sagot ni Clark bago pa kami maka-react.
Best of 15 lang daw sabi nina Wynn.
I mean, in my viewpoint, mukha kasing naka-position si Tammi to hit Calvin, however, itong huli, alam yatang lalampas sa kanya kaya inilagan lang ang bola.
Napakagaling. Inilagan ang bola. Sobrang galing.
But there really was something unusual sa straight face niya—mga facial expression niyang bihira ko lang makita unless I was doing something stupid and he was just waiting for me to face my unfortunate resolution para makita ko ang point niya.
And if his point was preventing me from playing, hindi ba masyadong overacting na pigilan niya ako? It was just a game anyway.
Again, Tammi was serving the ball when the boys became attentive to where it was heading. Feeling ko, naging wake-up call ang unang service. Alanganing target sina Will at Patrick. But Will got the ball at natamaan niya. The trajectory was enough to set the ball in the air, and that was when Patrick hit it from there hanggang sa wala nang nakasalo n'on sa sobrang bilis ng pagtahak ng bola sa buhangin.
