When we finally landed we were at the mouth of the flooded entrance. He held me close as we entered the water. Once we made it to the other side of the water, he helped me to my feet. "Marcus please think this through. " I begged once more. I wanted to change his mind so I wouldn't have to fight him. I may be stronger because of the blood but he was still Marcus. He was still the man who looked after me when I first came to the coven.

"I have thought this through Iris. William is my brother and I will set him free." He said as he grabbed a torch and lit it. "If you are worried he will attack you, he won't, I'll keep you safe as I promised." He grabbed my arm gently as we walked down the tunnel. I looked around and so many memories flashed through my head. Memories of Selene and I playing hide and seek with the other children, or of me walking with our father, or my favorite when our father would play with us for a short while. We kept walking until we hit what seemed to be a dead-end until I spotted the painting Selene and I did with the other children. This meant we were close to where William was held.

What scared me at the moment was that Marcus looked at the painting in front of us intently as though he knew about it. The only way he could have known was through Selene. "How do you know about this painting, Marcus?" I asked even though I already knew the answer. He didn't answer me but his shoulders seemed to shag as though he felt ashamed but walked head towards the wall. He placed the torch into a holder and began to dig into his pockets and pulled out Viktor's key and Michael's pendant. He placed the pendant into the key and turned it until outer blades popped out. The key was complete. He felt up the wall that was submerged underwater and placed the key in the hole. After a moment or two, we started to hear gears turn and the wall began to pull itself up.

Once the wall was all the way up Marcus grabbed the torch and placed the key back into his pocket before gently grabbing my hand and pulling me along with him. We walked into the small area and climb up some stairs before finally setting our eyes upon William's cell. Marcus let go of my hand and walked towards the coffin-shaped prison. I was basically shaking like a leaf. A former death dealer was shaking like a frightened puppy in the winter.

When Marcus got to the prison he grabbed the key once more and placed it in another round and odd-shaped keyhole. He began to turn it and once he turned it to the point he couldn't anymore the sound of gears filled the air once more. He took a step back and drew out a shaken breath as the cell began to open. As each moment passed I watched my father's work come undone. When the cell was completely open, it revealed him. William, the first werewolf ever to exist. Marcus let out a breath of relief and uttered one word. "William" he moved the torch to shine a light on the Lycan in turn William went from standing completely still to lunging and growling at his brother. The only thing holding him back was the chains that seemed to be connected to his body. Marcus took a half step back. "Wait," he tells his brother as William growls at him. But it did nothing. William walked out of the cell and went for Marcus growling and snarling forcing Marcus to back up. At that moment my fight or flight instincts kicked in and I pulled my dagger out of my boot and got into a fighting stance. I loved Marcus yes but I will not die because of the fact he cannot control his brother. Marcus put his hand on his brother's chest to stop him from walking farther. "No, William. Stop. Be still, brother. It's me." He tells the beast. The Lycan finally stopped charging at him. Marcus looked at me and saw me holding my dagger. He gave me a signal to lower my blade before looking back at William. "I'd no sooner harm you than myself," He said to William. Once he made that vow to his brother, the beast finally calmed down completely before turning its head to me and snarled at me angrily. My eyes began to glow for I could feel the power in me rise. "NO brother," Marcus yelled getting in front of me blocking William's view of me. " She is not to be harmed. She is our sister now."
