I felt as though I was finally at peace. I opened my eyes to see a lake surrounded by a beautiful forest. "Hello, little Iris." I hear a familiar voice behind me. I turn around to see Marcus standing behind me. I smile at the sight of him. "How I have missed you, my dear"

I ran to him, throwing my arms around his neck. "I'm so sorry, brother." I cried into his shoulder. "I failed to save you."

He wrapped his arms around me and cradled my head in his hand as he stroked my hair. "Shh, little Iris. You did not fail me, it is I who failed you." He told me in a soft voice. "I allowed my pride to get in the way of my love for you and I am sorry to have put you through that." I buried my head deeper into his shoulder.

"As you should be Marcus." A strong female voice spoke from behind me. I whipped my head around to see my mistress, Amelia. "Hello, my child." She greeted me. I broke away from Marcus and kneeled before her with my head bowed. "Iris, you should know better than bowing to me." she scolds me.

I did not move. "I failed to protect you and the man you love." I sobbed. "I failed to protect everyone I loved."

I felt a hand on my head but I dare not look her in the eyes. "Iris, look at me," Amelia begged. "Please, my dear, look at me." I lifted my tear-filled eyes to her. "Thomas died protecting my son, I died while you tried to protect your sister and the coven from Kraven and Viktor, and my son still lives thanks to your love for him. You did not fail me." She told me.

"But I did. Samira rules the Eastern coven, Var Dohr was all but destroyed by the lycans and Marius, and David hates me." I cried. As I cried I felt Marcus lift me into his arms and carried me to the lake.

"You have been through so much pain and heartache over the centuries but do not forget the joy you have brought during those times," Marcus whispered into my ear before looking into the water. I cast my eyes to the water to see images in the reflection of it. "You saved me from years of anger" The image changed into one of many times we were sparring that turned into a tickle fight. I let out a breathless laugh at the sight. "You gave Amelia hope" The image shifted again to me hugging the great elder. "You showed your sister how to feel compassion over the centuries." The image shifted to a stakeout we did not but maybe 50 years after we turned, where we were joking around while waiting for the lycans to reveal themselves.

"You even proved that not all vampires are like Viktor" another male voice spoke from behind us. I turned to see Lucian standing behind Amelia with a smile on his face. I looked at him shocked. He just smiled before approaching me. "I spent centuries angry at Viktor and the vampires after they killed my darling Sonja, then when I was on the brink of death, you showed me kindness that I have not seen from a vampire since my wife." He told me as he crouched before me. "You proved that you are stronger than you believe, my dear."

"I am so sorry for your death, Lucian." I raised my hand and cupped his cheek. "You did not deserve a death like that."

He smiled at me and gripped my hand. "Iris, what do you see before you?" he asked me. I looked at him confused. "Do you really believe that you failed any of us, just because we died?"

"Yes. You all died because I was not strong enough to prevent your deaths." I answered.

"No, little Iris," Marcus tells me with a smile. "We died to make you stronger. Amelia died because of Kraven and Viktor's blindness. Lucian died trying to dethrone Viktor and to prove that the lycans are not inherently evil. I died because of my arrogance and pride." He tells me, standing me up.

"My child, we are at peace," Amelia tells me before three more people walked forward.

I recognize one. "Sir Thomas" I whispered as I watched him wrap his arms around my mistress. I looked beside Lucian and saw a woman wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing his cheek. "You must be Sonja," I inquired. She smiled at me before nodding. I turned to my brother and saw a man gripping his shoulder. "William?" I questioned.

The man smiled before speaking. "Hello, sister" I broke out in a smile upon hearing him call me that.

"Now my dear," Lucian speaks up. "You must go back."

I was confused. I was dead, how could I go back. "I don't understand. Marius killed me."

Marcus laughed. "As if anyone could kill my sister."

"My dear, you are in the in-between. You are in the Sacred world. You are not dead" Amelia tells me. "But before you go, we need to give you something." She stepped up and placed her necklace around my neck, the very one she wore when she died. Marcus was next. He wrapped his weapons belt around my waist along with the sword he used when the war first started.

Lucian was last. He cut his wrist and gave me his blood. "Drink it now please." I took his wrist into my mouth as I watched his life flash before my eyes. When I released him, he gave me a small smile before speaking. "Now you are stronger than Marius will ever be."

I gave them all a smile. "Thank you all, for making me see that I have not failed. I have only just begun." I closed my eyes one final time before opening them to see stone walls.

~Hello my little rabbits and mad hatters. OH MY GOSH, the story is almost over with. Only a few chapters left to do. I hope you enjoyed my idea of the sacred world. I figured since Iris was having so much guilt about their deaths that she should see the complete outcome of it. Honestly you guys, I don't know if I should do fanfic on the resident evil movies next or the daredevil show. Well please let me know which one you want and if you enjoyed this chapter. I love you guys.
