Hey, guys! Thanks for being so patient with me! I'm actually quite happy with how this chapter turned out, and I hope you enjoy this chapter as much as I enjoyed writing it! Let me know what you think with a vote and/or comment! Enjoy!

"Woah. What is this thing?" I asked as I ran my hands along the sleek steal of what I was told was called the elevator. I heard someone snicker, and I turned to see Clint with a hand over his mouth, but I could tell by his eyes that he was smiling. I couldn't even bring myself to be upset. This world was completely different from both of the ones I was used to. Asgard was more advanced in terms of having the Soul Forge, but Midgard had machines I had never heard or even thought of, like this elevator.

"It's an elevator, (Y/N)," Steve repeated kindly. "It'll take us to different floors of the tower; we're going to head to the common room first," he said as we all piled into the elevator. The doors closed, and I jumped when an unfamiliar voice suddenly filled the enclosed space of the elevator.

"I am detecting two unauthorized subjects," a female voice said.

"It's alright F.R.I.D.A.Y., give them access to the Avengers' floor, the common room, the library, and the penthouse," Tony ordered the voice from the ceiling. "And take us up to the common room, if you would," he said. I jumped again and latched onto Loki when the elevator began moving up. It wasn't like it had shook the entire thing, but with heightened senses, it felt like a minor earthquake.

"Tony, what was that voice in the ceiling?" I asked once I had finally settled from the initial shock of the strange metal box beginning to move.

"Oh, that was F.R.I.D.A.Y., the tower's A.I.," he explained.

"A.I.?" I asked, unsure.

"Artificial Intelligence," Tony supplied. "So anything you need, any questions you have, F.R.I.D.A.Y. can handle it," he said, and I smiled at the man. He was being surprisingly nice. I was sure Pepper had something to do with his change in attitude.

I gripped Loki's hand again when the elevator came to a stop and the door opened. Sure, Tony's tower was still not as grand as the palace on Asgard or even the one on Alfheim, but it was still beautiful. I had a special appreciation for the entire wall covered in nothing but glass. It let an insane amount of natural light in. I immediately went over to the wall of glass and peered through the windows. The ground was so far away. I had never been up this high before. It was weird.

A gentle hand was placed on my back as I continued to stare down at the ground below. "What are you thinking, darling?" Loki said in that beautiful, deep, smooth voice of his. I finally tore my eyes away from the view provided by the window.

"I don't really know," I said honestly. "It's a lot to take in all at once," I admitted.

"Why don't we show you two to your room, and you guys can take some time to settle in," Steve said from somewhere behind me. I turned to look at the blonde man.

"That would be great," I said with a smile. From there, Steve showed Loki and I to our shared room, telling us to ask F.R.I.D.A.Y. if we needed anything and that dinner was going to be at 6. We were also told that we would have access to the top three floors and F.R.I.D.A.Y. would keep us from going any further than that.

I flopped onto the bed with a sigh, thankful that at least the beds felt the same. Hopefully I would be able to get a good night's sleep tonight even though I was in a new place. But, when I looked at my husband who was inspecting the balcony just off our room, I knew I would sleep fine tonight. Every night, he would wrap me in his arms, my head on his chest, his chin resting gently on the top of my head, and I would fall asleep peacefully, knowing he was there to protect me.
