i think i fear death,
but maybe it isn't something to be afraid of.
maybe death is like
the moment when you first wake up.
and everything is a little blurry,
you don't know what time it is,
you simply exist for a moment.
and maybe you'll drift back into sleep,
or perhaps you'll get up and begin your day.
but either way,
you exist for a little bit.
as for life,
i think life is when you listen
to a certain song,
or hear a certain voice,
and a wave crashes into you all at once.
memories upon memories,
all to see how short life really is.
there's a ticking clock inside us all.
make new memories,
meet new people,
listen to music,
write love letters,
try on clothes,
dye your hair,
laugh at yourself,
cry with your friends,
watch movies until you fall asleep,
climb a mountain,
dance until you can't,
open your windows and scream at the top of your lungs.
remind yourself that you're alive while you still can.
because at the end of the day,
you only have so much time left.
memento mori.
