Waking up, I was in Ryder's room, I remember from the party. Wait. Shit, I have to get out of here. This is a house full of wolf freaks.
Well, cute wolf freaks.
But wolf freaks none the less.
The door open and I pretended to be asleep. Footsteps walked towards the bed and I felt a hand brush the hair that was in my face away, but my dumb body had to flinch the second his warm large hand touched my face.
"I can feel you shivering." He said in a defeated sigh. Slowly, I opened my eyes and saw him standing over me with a defeated look in his eyes that matched the sigh. "I'm not going to hurt you."
"You're a fucking wolf, I don't know what to believe." I whispered curling into a ball when he sat down at the edge of the bed. Once he saw I was uncomfortable, he stood up instantly and gestured towards the door.
"You can leave if you want. We told your dad you had a headache and needed to rest and that I drove you home." He said looking down at the ground. "I can take you home if you want."
Looking up at him I remembered that I was punched just a few hours ago I think. "Is my face okay?"
He looked at me but slowly moved forward. "Can I clean it?"
I mean, I don't know how to clean a wound, so I was hoping he'd clean it. "Just don't lick it please, that's disgusting."
With the sudden laughter, I couldn't help but flinch by the sound. He looked at me with such happiness, I couldn't help but let out a small smile as well.
"I wasn't going to lick you, Athena." The way he says my name still gives me butterflies.
"I don't know what stuff you're into, being a wolf and all."
"Same thing as a regular human, I just have the ability to turn into a wolf." He simply stated disappearing into his bathroom which surprisingly connected to his room and came back out with a first aid kit.
He sat down on the bed across from me and gently took my face in a hand. Ryder looked so concentrated as he worked on fixing up my cheek.
"Is it bad?" I whispered looking into his hazel eyes. He shook his head and looked down at my hands with guilt.
"I should've protected you better." He mumbled dropping his hands into the first aid kit. "I'm really sorry. I thought Anri put him down, but I guess we underestimated how strong he is."
"It's okay-"
"I promise I won't let you get hurt again." Ryder swore looking into my eyes sincerely.
"Why does it matter so much to you?" I found myself asking. Ryder looked at me with a blushed face and smiled sheepishly.
"No reason. Anyways." He put a bandaid on my face and began to walk out the door until he noticed I wasn't following. "Do you need an invitation?"
I rolled my eyes and followed him out the door. "Do you pee on all fours?"
"Yep and I like to eat out of a bowl as well." He mumbled opening the door for me, I huddled as far as I could and looked over at him confused.
"Who else is one?"
"I can't say." He said shaking his head and began to drive to my house. "Are you going to tell people?"
"Who would I tell? My dad? Like he'll believe me, like anyone would believe me." I sarcastically stated, but knew I was right. I'd sound crazy. "This is fucking crazy, you know that? And you know my dad is going to kill me that I'm coming home with a bruise. And did you kill that guy?"
