The sound of a sudden crash woke me up from my visions of Ryder. Looking around Khalil wasn't here. The room was too dark to see anything. There was another crash and a faint growl from outside. Opening the blinds slightly, two wolves were fighting outside.

They were giant! I almost forgotten how big they are!

Anri came up from behind me, wrapping his arms around me, and brought us down to the floor. He had a hand around my mouth and rolls us so we were under the bed.

What about dad? What's going on?

Footsteps can be heard going around the house, trashing the place. Tears silently streamed down my eyes as each footstep seemed to be getting closer and closer.

My body was paralyzed, I don't know what to do. Anri's chest rose and fell calmly, I can feel his hot breath on my neck as his chest was pressed against my back. He kept his hand on my mouth, my hands held onto his arms.

The footsteps neared the door. My body tensed against Anri and I leaned my head against his chest, praying for everything to be okay. What's even going on? Where's dad? Where's Khalil?

Finally the footsteps went away and whimpers can be heard from outside. Anri forced us to stay under the bed until the front door slammed open and I can hear Khalil's voice cry out.

"Help!" With that Anri left my back and dragged us down the stairs, his hand holding onto mine tightly. At the kitchen, Khalil was naked, but the blood seemed to cover every inch of her.

I tried to ignore how beautiful she was and focused on the fact that there's blood everywhere.

She struggled to stand up, so I quickly put my body under hers, so she didn't have to walk alone. Her skin was so soft and her eyes looked so bright against the red that's on her body. "I just sprained my ankle, bad. It's nothing."

My face was blushed, naturally, from seeing her butt naked. Like she's really pretty.

"You're bleeding though." I struggled to say as we walked to the bathtub. Khalil gulped and looked down at the floor.

"Athena, the blood isn't mine." She whispered in a serious tone as I turned in the water. My body froze, I don't know what to say. Walking out the bathroom, I peaked outside and saw a slight trail of blood. I didn't have to ask.

She killed the other wolf. The person that was inside must've taken the body.

"I'm going to go make some soup and find the wrap." I said but realized that someone was missing. "Where's my dad?"

"He never came home." Khalil said. She should've phrased that better because within seconds my hands were shakily on the phone calling him. "But it's going to be okay."

"He's not home?" I whimpered and felt my body freeze again. Shit. I need to think. Think.

Khalil looked up from the bath tub with a tired look. "Go call him."

"B-but-" What if he doesn't answer? Do I really want to know if he's dead or alive? I think I'd rather live in ignorance, I don't know. Dad, just come home.

"Now, Athena." Khalil demanded in the same authoritative tone Ryder uses.

Nodding my dead, I called dad and he picked up within seconds. "Hello?"

"Dad? Where are you? Why aren't you home? Are you okay?" I rushed, finding myself pacing around the house. It was truly trashed. Every pot, vase, cup was shattered on the floor, I had to be careful where I walked.

"I'm at work still, I meant to tell you, it's an overnighter. Why are you calling me so early in the morning?" He asked, checking the time, it was 2am. Walking back into the bathroom, I knew I had to tell dad about the home invasion. Not all the details, like that they're wolves.
