Chapter 23 : If Cupid Had A Sword

Lou got up securing me behind his back. "Who is this?" Lou scowled to the bushes. "Cash. Mason's friend." he said simply stepping out of the shadows. "Where's Harry, Cash?" I asked bravely. "None of your business." Cash waved a finger.

Lou straightened. "Just answer the girl." Lou continued. "You'll know when we're done with him." He smirked. "Why are you here then?" Lou shouted, raising a fist. "To make a deal." he replied. "We give that puss and you give us the girl and lay off the police you set on Mason." he continued not even waiting for Lou's answer. "Over my dead body." Lou said pushing me further behind. Someone else stepped out from beside Cash, I didn't know him." I could feel Lou freezing and I knew that he couldn't get out of it. "You really think I would come alone."the other guy stepped closer.

"I'll come." I ran from behind Lou before he could make for me.  "Nicole!" he sounded just like Harry. He ran behind me but it was too late. The other guy had already got hold of my waist and they ran heaving  me on his shoulder. I could hear Lou shout but he didn't follow. This time I had walked into the darkness myself.

We reached to Mason's apartment. I was thrown over Cash's shoulder this time as she carried me inside. "We got her Mason." The guy called out to the room. I fell to the ground, this whole time I hadn't shuffled a sound but the view in the room made me scream in horror.

Mason had whip in his hands, Ryder was leaning against the wall with a huge grin of amusement on his face. Harry hung to a rod on the wall, his whole face bled, his brown curls were stuck straight with sweat and blood, his shirt lay on the floor as was ripped and his bare torso was marked with scars everywhere due to the whip.

My dried tears started running again. I couldn't bare the sight of him in so much pain. I was lost in the sight so much that I hadn't realized when Ryder had picked me up and brought me closer to me. Harry's eyes were drooping and I could tell from it that he was almost unconcious but they stunned open at the sight of me. "Nucoole?" he whispered. I fell to my knees in front of Mason, "Please! Please I beg of you! Let him go now, you wanted me, I'm here. Just let him go now." I cried at his feet. All the guys laughed. My arms were gripped by hands so tight that they hurt badly.

"Ah... I didn't hear you kitty." he chuckled. "Please let him go..." I murmured. "oh that..sorry kitty.. not quite yet, just let him see you properly." he threw me to the couch nearby. My head hit its arm. Harry screamed weakly but it was muffled when Mason punched him in the face.

I just watched Harry who was staring at me with his green eyes full of tears, they were trying to warn me about something but I just wanted to see him. I felt a hand on my back, it was cold and rough. "Stay away Cash!" Mason shouted and the hand slipped away. Mason came up to me, without any warning he flung the whip in his hand at me. I heard my dress rip in the back and searing pain. I didn't look away from Harry's eyes but had to blink away a tear. His eyes were soft and teary. Then again the whip was brought to my skin and it pierced and then again the action was repeated. My voice was as if stuck in the back of my throat and I stared at Harry, I could hear the laughter from the guys.

Something had changed in the atmosphere as the whips were not hitting anymore but I couldn't take my eyes off Harry. The guys had stopped laughing as well. I could some sirens and shouts but my mind veins couldn't perform any action. I felt a heavy cloth on my back and thats when I came to my sense. I turned to see who it was, Liam stood over me, worry coursing on his face. "Are you okay?" his voice seemed pretty loud. I motioned my eyes to where Harry was but Harry was not there! "Zayn and Niall took him to the hospital." his voice interrupted by my confusion.

I got up from the couch, wrapping the cloth Liam had put tightly around me. I started shaking as remembrance of what had happened earlier hit me. I felt myself fall but Liam's strong arms took hold of my shoulders. My eyes weaved around the room where I saw policemen handcuffing four men. Through the doors I could see a Lou talking to a man, a black Volvo , a police car and a van. Liam took me out of the doors and sat me in the car.

"I want to see Harry now." I whispered to Liam and he nodded but Lou came from behind. "No way Nicole! We are dropping you off with El for the night, you are not too stable and Harry won't want to see you like that." He said angrily. "Why don't you drop me at my place?" I suggested. "Because..  we don't want you running off to suicide now!" he shouted this time. As we drove to El's place, I could hear Lou whispering something to Liam but I couldn't make it out.

They dropped me off at El's house where she ordered me to shower first, then she gave me a few clothes. "Would you like anything else?" She asked me. I shook my head and she slipped in the bed and under the blanket. I slipped beside her. I couldn't sleep the night so I took my phone and put my headphones on and the track started playing "Sparks Fly." by Taylor Swift It reminded me of Harry in someways, through tears slipping I voiced along with the lyrics in hushed tone.

Someone poked me in the arm, I looked up to see El who was mouthing something but I couldn't so I took my headphones off. "Lou says..
