Nagkayayaan kami magswimming sometime after we ate dinner. Everyone was having a blast, well except siguro dito sa kasama ko. Nakaupo lang kami sa gilid ng pool while we are watching the others na nagkukulitan.
"Kuya Kyle. Are you sure you're fine?"
"Oo naman. Ako pa?"
"Feeling ko nao-op ka dito sa party."
"Sort of. Wala naman kasi akong kaclose aside from you and Amber."
"It really made me happy na nakapunta ka rin kahit na hindi naman tayo ganoon ka close and alam mong makikita mo silang dalawa."
"As long as she's happy then it's fine."
"But you are not."
"When you love someone, it doesn't matter if they'll return those feelings with the same intensity as yours. Okay nga lang na kahit hindi ako yung mahal niya, at least I'm still her best friend. I can still be with her. Di bale na kung hindi man sa paraan na gusto ko."
"I really admire your love for her. Walang makakatalo. Ang swerte swerte nga ni Amber kasi madaming nagmamahal sa kanya."
"Sa'yo rin naman ah. You are also loved by the people that surrounds you. Sige, babalik na ako sa kwarto ko."
He patted my head and then I just waved at him. Bago siya tuluyang makapasok sa loob, he said. "Yung gift mo, to follow na lang."
"Thank you Kuya Kyle!"
And with that he was out of my sight.
"Mukhang nagiging close na rin kayo ni Kyle ah."
"He's super nice. Swerte ka kasi best friend mo siya."
