Chapter 26 ~

Nina's POV

Pinuntahan ko si Tita Haru sa office niya. Sabi niya kasi dati, aayusan niya ako for the Christmas Ball. Dinala ko na lang yung dress na binili namin nila Amber para pagkatapos niya akong ayusan ay makapagbihis na din ako.

Tita Haru was busy talking to someone over the phone when I arrived at her office so I decided to just sit on the sofa located across her desk.

"I'm sorry Nina, may problema kasi sa pagkuha ng ingredients and I have to go there now. I'll just ask Sky na ayusan ka."

"Okay po Tita, Ingat po kayo."

She went out of her office and after a while Ate Skylee entered and asked me to sit on a stool so that it would be easier for her to fix my hair.

"Sabi pala ni Boss, isabay na kita sa pagpunta sa Hope."

She was braiding my hair. Hindi lang ako sure kung anong style kasi hindi ko naman nakikita kung anong ginagawa niya sa buhok ko.

"Aattend ka rin po pala sa Christmas Ball ng Hope."

"My dad's going to kill me this time kapag absent ako. This Christmas Ball is going to be special compared dun sa mga nakaraan na medyo boring."

Ate Skylee was the eldest daughter of the founder of Hope. She used to spend her summer vacation there kasi tahimik sa Hope and it's a great environment to raise childrens lalo na yung may sakit. Ang alam namin ay sakitin yung kapatid niya and it was better for them to spend their vacations there.

She used to tell us stories and she even played with us but we never got the chance to see her sibling. One time, she approached me tapos dun na nagsimula na maging close kami sa isa't isa. I used to tell her what was bothering me every time she gets the chance to visit us.

Pagkatapos ayusin ni Ate Skylee yung buhok ko, she started to apply make up and then voila, I kinda looked different but in a positive way. Di ko naman kasi kinahiligan ang pag-aayos like Irish who loves dressing up.

I changed my outfit. I wore the peach colored dress that was an inch above my knee and nung lumabas ako, naabutan ko si Ate Skylee na nagreretouch ng make up niya. Nagpaalam siya na magbibihis lang daw siya kaya naiwan ako dito sa loob ng office ni Tita Haru.

A few moments later, bumalik na din si Ate Sky tapos sinarado niya yung office ni Tita Haru tapos sumakay na kami sa kotse niya. Yes, she have a car and definitely she can drive. After a long drive from the cafe, sawakas ay dumating na rin kami. Medyo marami na rin yung mga bisita na dumating kaya nagmamadali si Ate Sky na puntahan yung daddy niya at naiwan akong mag-isa sa may parking. A black SUV parked beside Ate Sky's car and to my surprise, it was Kuya Cyan and Amber.

Amber immediately hugged me. She's wearing a white lace dress. Her long black hair was curled on the ends. Basta she looked like a fairy princess.

"Kasama mo pala si Kuya Cyan."

"Yup, yung upcoming painting exhibit kasi ni Kuya Cyan, yung proceeds nun mapupunta sa Hope kaya he's here to promote."

Amber explained. Nagpagpasyahan namin ni Amber na maglibot libot muna around the premise of Hope since Kuya Cyan was busy with his work.

Sa pag-iikot namin, nakasalubong namin si Ate Sky saying that the party's going to start. For sure boring pa yun sa umpisa. May mga welcome remarks pa yan at iisa isahin pa yung sponsors ng Hope. Anyway, umalis muna si Amber dahil hahanapin daw niya si Jyrus. Nag-ikot ikot muna ako baka sakaling may makasalubong akong kakilala and hindi nga ako nagkamali kasi nakasalubong ko si Ate Eileen and she's with Kuya Kyle.
