Nina's POV
Pauwi na ako ng may nareceive akong text galing kay Tita Haru. Nasa ospital daw siya at pinapapunta niya ako dun. Umuwi muna ako sa amin. I changed my uniform into a black shirt paired up with my white shorts and pink running shoes. Nagtaxi na lang ako papunta sa hospital at pinuntahan ang whereabouts ni Tita Haru.
"Nina? Why are you here?"
Amber asked me. Nagtataka rin ako kung bakit nandito siya.
"Good thing you're already here."
Tita Haru said and hugged me tight. Napansin kong namamaga yung singkit niyang mata. She must have cried for so long.
"What happened?"
I asked Tita Haru.
"Supposed to be susunduin ako ni Red sa cafe dahil napag-usapan namin. P-pero naaksidente siya bago pa siya makarating."
Umiyak na naman si Tita Haru. Hinaplos haplos ko na lang yung likod niya para kahit papano kumalma naman siya.
Pumasok sa loob ng room si Tita Haru to check Tito Red. Naiwan naman kami sa labas ni Amber.
"Tara muna sa labas?"
Pag-aayaya ni Amber sakin. Lumabas kami ng hospital at pumunta sa isang coffee shop. Nagorder na si Amber tapos ako naman yung naghanap ng mauupuan.
"Di ko alam na related ka pala kay Ate Haru."
Pagsisimula ng usapan ni Amber.
"They've been together for 4 years already. Ngayon nga yung 4th Anniversary nila. Kaya nga dapat uuwi ako ng maaga since I will help Kuya Red and Ate Haru's friends para sa last surprise ni Kuya for her. Dapat kasi magpro-propose na siya. He's been waiting for this day to come but there was a sudden change of events."
She paused. Her orders were being served. She ordered for the both of us kanina since siya naman daw magbabayad. She took a sip from her frappe and then continued what she was saying.
"According to my mom, nawalan daw ng brakes yung car na nakabangga sa car ni Kuya. The man suffered from severe injuries parang yung kay Kuya Red lang. Kailangan pa nga ng blood transfusion eh. I am scared that he might not be able to make it...."
Nanginginig na kamay niya na nakapatong sa mesa. She must have been trying to seal away her tears.
