Percy works with Tony Stark

19. Tony Misses his Assistant

"Where is heee," Tony whined. He was starting to get worried because Percy still hadn't come back. It had only been one day though so he just decided to wait a little more.

Another two days passed and Tony was already done waiting. He was honestly starting to get worried because Percy never even took breaks, much less ones he didn't tell Tony about. He was also acting weird before he left so Tony was cooking up all sorts of ideas.

"JARVIS, find Perseus Jackson," he said to his AI. He left to go find the rest of his team to wait for the results since he was pretty nervous.

Everyone was in the living room and he trudged to the bar to pour himself a drink.

"Well you haven't done that in a while," Steve commented, clearly disapprovingly.

"Well you need to lighten up, you might need a drink even more than me," he clapped back.

"Speaking of, where's Percy?" Bruce asked, wondering where the guy who usually stopped Tony from drinking was.

"Gone," was all he said.

"You finally drove him away huh," Clint laughed.

"No he's missing," Tony said.

The room fell silent as they finally saw Tony show genuine care for someone besides Pepper. 

"Did you look for him?" Natasha asked.

"I'm getting JARVIS to right now," he said.

"What if he was kidnapped to blackmail you?" Clint joked while spinning in his chair.

"Then I should be expecting a ransom note soon," Tony sighed as he put his head down on the table in defeat.

The rest of the room gave Clint glares and he finally started to take it seriously.

"Where are Thor and Loki?" Cap asked.

"Probably in Asgard, they go back once in a while to renew Loki's restrains," Nat answered.

"There's no way they actually work," she muttered under her breath.

"So I'm not the only one who noticed!" Steve shouted excitedly.

It was his turn to receive the teams judgmental stares as even Tony lifted his head to say, "no shit Sherlock".

"But I think at least some of his powers are still restricted," Bruce thought out loud.

"Why?" Clint asked.

"I saw him return hurt once and I know that if he was at full power, he would have healed himself," he rationalized.

"Then should we just let him stop the constrains, he hasn't done anything," Steve said, "at least yet," he added.

The room decided on "sure why not". There were more enemies popping up and they had nothing to lose if they gained a more powerful ally. If they didn't get backstabbed. or tricked. or whatever Loki liked to do.

Tony asked for JARVIS to inform him of the results as soon as possible so JARVIS asked if he wanted to know the results in front of everyone.

"Go ahead," he said. Everyone got pretty close to Percy so he decided they should hear the verdict too.

"No results found," JARVIS stated.

"No way... try again but search for him on that Friday night too," he said once he collected himself.

After a couple of minutes, JARVIS reported, " he took one of your cars after running out from talking to Miss Natasha, picked up Annabeth Chase at the Empire State Building, then went to Luke Donovan's estate".

Tony looked at Natasha for answers.

"He was asking about that guy, Luke Donovan for like weeks until I would tell him," she supplied.

"I was on protection for his dad and I saw Percy and Annabeth at a gala we were attending. He said he was there to find Luke because he had something to discuss with him, but then the gala was attacked by people who wanted information from Luke's father, the person I was supposed to protect," she added.

"Did anything else weird happen?" Tony asked, desperate for more information.

"Yea... thinking back, he and his girlfriend took down two of the attackers," she said.

"Were they strong?" Steve asked.

"Yea all of them," Nat said, not really sure if Steve was asking about the attackers or Percy.

"Oh, then I had to take the father into SHIELD for protection but he wanted his son to come along too so I suppose he never got the chance to say what he wanted to until they were let out. Luke didn't say anything about them when he was with us," she said.

"JARVIS search for Luke Donovan and Annabeth Chase," Tony tried again.

"Both were reported dead Saturday morning by the maid in the Donovan estate."

Everyone froze.
