Their hideout was a good 2 hours away and I turned up the music so I could avoid the awkward small talk with the passenger. Unfortunately, my wish didn't come true.

"ACDC? I know someone who likes them too," Clint commented.

"Who?" I asked before I realized too late.

"Tony, he woulda went to town making fun of you, you perfectly fit his little spy stereotype," he responded jokingly.

"Great," I said.

He still continued, "But Nat might have you beat there, not sure."

"Black Widow?" I asked.

"Yea, how did you know?"

All I provided was, "files."

"Of course," he sighed. "None of us have any privacy. So how have I never heard about you except some rumors about a super powerful new recruit?"

"Doesn't that count as hearing about me?" I was honestly surprised. Word spread about me all the way to another continent? I'm honored.

"Ugh you know what I mean," he complained.

I didn't say anymore and we drove in comfortable silence. For me at least. I could see Clint unable to sit still.

"Stop fidgeting"

"I can't help it- I'm so bored, are we even there yet? There's nothing to do and you are being so quiet it's getting a little creepy. You know I used to know someone else with ADHD, it woulda done you some good with him, he would be a good influence on you. We all know you need it with that attitude---"

"Ok, ok! Forget I said anything," I shouted, regretting even saying anything in the first place. Also geez- maybe an hour with this guy and I already came up?

Another hour later I pulled onto the side of the road in a particularly dark spot.

"Get out we're here," I said to Clint.

"I'll find a vantage point on top of a nearby building. I can run in for support if needed," he said as he strapped on his bow and arrows.

"You won't need to," I said, warming up my wrists.

"Where are you going?" he asked.

"I'm charging in. Cover me!"

"Hey!" he yelled after me as I ran off.

I decided to go the straightforward route so I made my way to the front door. I saw Clint get into position and threw him a signal that I was going to go in.

Right after I raised my hand, I kicked the doors open and pulled out some twin knifes. They weren't anything super fancy but they were wicked sharp. The building erupted in panic and I charged in.

"You can do better!," I cheered as I slashed through everyone.

I made my way down the hall and everyone that escaped my knife's range was shoot down by Clint. I finally made my way to the end of the hallway and kicked open the door again.

"Come out , come out, wherever you are!" I yelled.

"Huh, nobody's here?"

I looked around and Clint ran in.

"Did we get everyone already?" he asked.

"Nope, there's no way that was it."

Clint looked flustered as I searched the room.

"Got it," I said as I pushed the button under the desk.

"Isn't that a little too obvious," I commented as the bookcase turned to show a hallway leading out.
