We said our goodbyes, and after I promised to meet up with Rachel again sometime, we were just about to leave when Rachel whispered, "finally."
I looked back, ready to joke about how she wanted us to leave sooner, but I saw the familiar green mist coming out from her mouth.
"What!?" Steve said in surprise, getting ready to fight. But I ran forward and supported her from falling.
"Shh, wait a moment," I told Steve and Tony.
"A new god arisen,
born from love and hate,
must discover the truth-"
I was anxiously waiting for the rest, but nothing else came. I quickly looked down, but Rachel was already passed out.
"There's no way that was all of it right?" I asked desperately. Couldn't that all be inferred? Since when was a prophecy so straightforward? The new god had to be me right? The truth? What truth? But how does that even help?
I had so many questions swirling in my mind, and Tony and Steve could tell that something was wrong from my reaction.
I set Rachel down. "Let's wait until she wakes up," I said. They silently agreed and we all sat down.
It only took her 30 minutes to regain consciousness. "So? What did I say?" She asked excitedly.
"Are you okay?" I asked. "Did anything feel different this time?"
"No?" She said confused. "Why? What happened?"
I recited the prophecy and Rachel's face also twisted.
"What's wrong with it?" Steve finally asked.
"First of all, prophecies are never that short," Rachel said.
"Or that straightforward," I added.
"Straightforward?" Rachel asked. I thought it would be quicker to give a demonstration, so I gave myself another cut.
Rachel's face paled considerably. "B-but-"
"I got the last thing I could possibly want," I sighed. At this rate, I would never get to see Annabeth again.
"What's the deal with his gold blood?" Tony asked. "Besides that it looks pretty?"
"Ichor," Rachel whispered. "Is the blood of the gods."
"So?" he still confusedly questioned. "I thought demigods had their parent's blood in them anyways."
"No, all demigods have red blood." She answered.
"So he's full god?" Steve guessed.
"ding, ding, ding," I confirmed grimly.
"Did you notice anything?" Rachel asked. Something must have changed right?"
"Nothing big," I answered. "I don't know what my domain is either. Something water related maybe?"
Rachel looked down. "You know I have to tell Chiron right?"
"Sure, I'll trust his discussion," I agreed.
"Really? Okay!" She replied, happy she didn't have to withhold anything.
"Are you going to tell him about my ichor too?"
"Depends. Do you want me too?"
I wasn't sure either, but I still felt like I could trust Chiron. It also looked like he was the main, if not only, reason Rachel still kept in contact with camp at all. "Yea, but try and keep it between you two."
