"So what are you going to do now?" Alethea asked the budging question on her mind since we left the clinic. We chose against going to dad's hospital because no matter how I warn the doctors to keep my visit a secret, he'll still find out. I've been in a dilemma since the doctor broke the news to me after taking a sample of my urine and running a couple of tests on me. I saw how little my baby is. It's just like a dot. My heart skipped a beat when I heard its fast heartbeat. I can't believe I  have a life growing in me. Jayden, how is he going to feel if you break the news to him?
A tiny voice asked me in my thoughts.
"I don't know" I thought out loud.
"What do you mean you don't know Lakeisha? It's obvious that Jayden is the father of what's growing in you. Don't tell me you're not planning to tell him."

"God! Alethea, you're really exploding my senses. I'm confused as to what to do okay? I don't know how Jayden will behave if I tell him we're going to be parents." I dropped myself on Alethea's bed.
"Are you serious? That guy will do anything to make sure you and his unborn child are free from any harm. Can't you see how he looks at you? It's clear his entire world revolves around you. Muster courage and tell him what you've discovered, by so doing you'll know his stand in it and the both of you will find a way out together."

Alethea handed me a glass of water that she had poured from the jar on her dressing mirror. I gulped everything down my throat.
"His line can't be reached" I told Alethea after I removed the phone from ears.
"Whew!" I guess you have to wait till you get home then.
"As if I have a choice" I curled myself up on the bed.
"What of your parents, do you plan on telling them?" Alethea sat beside me.
"I don't know for now" I seriously can't think straight now.
"What if you do and they don't approve of you and Jayden?" Alethea keeps asking my fears.
"Then I'll give everything up to be with the love of my life. I'm no more a child to be compassed around. I know what I want and what I do not." I spoke from my heart. I'm tired of being bothered with my family's dictatorships. I'm just worried about Papa, his heart would be shattered if he comes to know that I'm no more the innocent little princess he adores but I won't care if letting him down is the only means to be with my love.
"Rest a while, don't stress yourself up. Everything will be okay" Alethea cuddled me as we both enjoyed the silence that hangs in the air.

"What's up princess!" My brother screamed on top of his voice just after I pressed the receiver. I'm in my Picanto driving back home. My future depends greatly on the steps I take tonight.
"Not very good, Lucas" I said grumpily.
"Aren't you the one who has been complaining that I don't call or text you? I've called today and you're giving me a cold shoulder" that's typically my twin brother. He always wants to refer you to something you might have said or done a decade ago.
"You're not the reason for my bad mood, my sweet brother. I've just been having a bad day." I sweet talked him.
"What's it pretty girl? Big bro is at your service" Remember what I said about Lucas being cold, yeah he's extra sweet sometimes. Not most of the time.
"Why do I feel like you've won a lottery?" I made him the center of our conversation.
"I have, my dear sister. I've succeeded in buying an oil  company and it calls for a celebration." I rolled my eyes. Lucas is just a replica of dad, he succeeds in all his business moves.
"That's great news!" I feigned interest. I really don't care right now.
"I have to break the news to my paddy, Jayden. I heard you guys are going strong?" He spoke with excitement.
"Yes" I said simply. "Lucas dear, there's a lot that I've to tell you but certainly not right now. I'm in the car driving. I'll call you when I get home okay?"
"Okay baby girl. I'll be expecting your call. Bye"
"Bye. Stay safe out there" I hanged up and focused on my ride home........
