Chapter 16

Narrator's POV

Monday came and it was time to shoot another Running Man episode. Somin was one of the earliest member to arrive. She came with a bright smile and greeted everyone on set politely.

As other members starts to join in, they started the show segment. They've always started a new episode with conversations among each other instead of introducing themselves lamely.

Jaeseok, as a host, has always been the person to bring up conversations for everyone to join in, which makes him the national MC.

"Wow. Today, I can see that Sukjin hyung is wearing baggy long sleeve and ripped jeans today. He suddenly looks like an old kpop star," Jaeseok teased Sukjin like he would everyday.

"Hey. You think I chose these clothes? It's my stylist, you crackhead," Sukjin defended himself, getting tired of Jaeseok's childlike teasing.

All of the RM members giggled. "Your stylist picked these? Who knows if there's an idol coming today?" Sechan voiced out as he knew that their stylists would pick out clothes that suit today's guest and theme.

"Exactly," Everyone agreed, looking at the director for answers. "Before we start on this, we have to remind you that there is 2 members that still has a penalty card. Both of you will decide whether to take up missions to get a chance card or to take on the penalty."

The director elaborated, looking particularly at Kwangsoo and Sukjin, without being too obvious. The two unluckiest members.

"2 members? Isn't it Kwangsoo hyung and Sukjin hyung?" Sechan questioned Somin who was standing beside him. "I'm not surprised if it's them," She honestly answered as Kwangsoo scoffed.

"Hey, it's not me. Don't look down on me just because I'm one of the unluckiest member," Kwangsoo defended himself jokingly, acting tough and brave.

"Its because you're the unluckiest member, we look down on you," Jongkook playfully talked back, which made Kwangsoo snickered in disbelief, lazy to argue with the older man.

"Really? I've always thought that Sukjin hyung was the unluckiest member," Jaeseok teased him once again as Sukjin just crossed his arms in response, showing a "I'm done with your bullshit" face.

Suddenly, a music of Super Junior's was played. Somin got excited, hoping that her old classmate, Eunhyuk, came by.

She silently went to Jihyo as she always would if a male guest came. "Unnie, is my hair okay?" She whispered to Jihyo, hugging her right arm. She knew the camera would capture this since she had a role of a 'playgirl' in RM.

Jihyo chuckled and nodded. "You look great, Somin-ah," She patted Somin's arm as they squinted their eyes to see which member of Super Junior came to the show.

Jongkook, who was beside Jihyo, noticed Somin's excited behaviour. He has seen her "fangirl" behaviour too many times yet, he felt that he couldn't get used to it today.

He smiled at her cute grin she threw at Jihyo, showing how much she anticipated for the guest.

Somin looked beside Jihyo to find Jongkook looking at her. She gave him a soft smile and turned her attention to the guests incoming. It was just a smile but it made Jongkook's heart leap.

The RM members looked up to see the guests swaggering their way to the set.

"Oh? Its Donghae, Eunhyuk, Yesung and Leeteuk!" Jaeseok exlaimed happily and clapped enthusiastically, which brought the other members to clap too.

The 4 Super Junior members bowed to the RM members respectfully and gave a huge smile. "Wow, it's so nice to see you guys again. Even the exact same members came by," Jaeseok spoke after the situation calmed down.

"Right. It was so fun and I really enjoyed it. The other members also agreed," Leeteuk, the leader of Super Junior, answered happily. Jaeseok grinned, proud of himself and the members for making the guests comfortable.

"How about you, Yesung-ssi? You were pretty quiet when you came last time. What made you come back here?" Jaeseok turned his attention to Yesung.

Yesung laughed nervously. "Well, I actually liked the games and how the Running Man members interacted with each other and the guests. I find it really entertaining," Yesung replied softly with a smile plastered on his face.

The RM members nodded and smiled in response. "Eunhyuk-ssi, are you perhaps here to see your classmate, Somin, again?" Jaeseok suddenly asked Eunhyuk. Somin was slightly shocked at Jaeseok who brought her up in a conversation.

Eunhyuk chuckled and glanced at Donghae. "It was nice to see Somin after so long but it's not me who wanted to see her," He answered while looking back and forth from Jaeseok to Somin. He nudged Donghae purposely by the shoulder.

Donghae, who was looking down, knew that Eunhyuk would say his name. He only found Somin cute and charming. He shouldn't have actually said that in the last episode.

"Oh? Who must it be?" Kwangsoo questioned, although he knew that it was Donghae. "Donghae-ssi, were you that happy to meet Somin last time?" Haha asked and pointed at Somin directly while looking at Donghae.

Somin scrunched her nose as she smiled, blushing purposely and slightly anticipated his answer as an entertainer. After all, Donghae was indeed a gentleman and a handsome man.

Jihyo, who was beside her, chuckled at her expression and shooked her head. Everyone was smiling at Donghae's shyness and Somin's expression.

Everyone was smiling sincerely. Everyone but Jongkook, who was smiling bitterly, holding back his heart that was filled with jealousy. But what could he do? This is work after all.
