Chapter 26

Narrator's POV

Somin and Jongkook was flustered as they heard that familiar voice. They pulled away quickly and cleared their throat before looking at the man. Kwangsoo was standing behind them with his arms crossed. Somin and Jongkook stood up awkwardly, adjusting their outfits for no reason.

"Hi, Kwangsoo o..oppa," Somin tried to calm herself but stuttered instead. Kwangsoo arched an eyebrow. "Oh, Kwangsoo-ah," Jongkook acknowledged him while avoiding eye contact. The three of them stood uncomfortably for a few seconds.

"Why are you here?" Somin initiated the question to break the silence. Kwangsoo glanced at the both of them sternly. "No, why are you both here?" He threw back the question. "Wait a minute," Jongkook realised and chuckled to himself.

"Are you interrogating us or something? Do I need a reason to explain it to you?" Jongkook turned to his tiger personality, infront of Kwangsoo. Kwangsoo flinched and took a step back, just in case. Kwangsoo sighed and nodded.

"But for real. Are you guys...." He trailed off his words, pointing to Somin and Jongkook. Somin nodded shyly as Jongkook looked elsewhere, scratching his not-itchy head. Kwangsoo scoffed. "This is crazy. Jihyo noona and I were right, then. This is unbelievable," He cupped his mouth and widened his eyes as an exaggeration.

"Jihyo unnie too?" Somin asked. "Remember when Jongkook hyung suddenly said 'Must be nice.' in the middle of the shoot when you and Donghae were talking? Jihyo noona and I had our suspicions after that. And also, Jongkook hyung kept on glancing at you and Donghae. It was too obvious," Kwangsoo elaborated and cringed at his words. Kwangsoo looked at Jongkook with a disgusted face, only to have Jongkook glaring at him.

Somin then glared at Jongkook instead. "What?" He noticed her glare. Somin hit his arm playfully. "By the next shooting, everyone is going to find out about us, oppa!" She complained and facepalmed her face. "Don't you want to? We can't keep it a secret forever! Look at Kwangsoo and Sunbin. Their relationship was revealed only after a few months!" He argued.

"Excuse me, don't involve my relationship within your argument," Kwangsoo interrupted. "Be quiet," Somin and Jongkook both exclaimed at Kwangsoo. He snickered at the couple before him and shooked his head. "Oppa!" A female voice was heard behind Kwangsoo.

"Oh? Sunbin is here," Somin smiled at the appearance of the pretty woman heading towards them. "You're having a date too? Wow," Jongkook and Somin put on their sandals. Sunbin's eyes widened as she saw Somin and Jongkook together. Her eyes softened and smiled, bowing to the both of them.

"Hello, Somin unnie and Jongkook oppa," Sunbin stayed beside Kwangsoo as she greeted. "Such a coincidence to meet the both of you. What are you doing here? It's pretty empty, yeah?" Sunbin questioned as she casually held Kwangsoo's hand. Somin smiled at the couple and glanced at Kwangsoo who looked shy.

"They are dating, Sunbin-ah," Kwangsoo answered for her. Sunbin's mouth formed an 'O', feeling surprised. "For how long?" She got excited as she heard the unexpected news. "Don't ask too much. I almost got beat up when I asked why they were here," Kwangsoo whispered playfully to Sunbin, loud enough for Jongkook to hear.

Sunbin laughed and hit his arm. Jongkook and Somin laughed along with her. Jongkook folded the mat that they sat on and head towards a small cafe near the Dongmak Beach. Kwangsoo and Sunbin followed them to the cafe since it was their initial plan.

Somin's POV

We sat down on stools with a small round table infront of us. Fortunately, there was only a few people since it's the morning. We sat near the secluded part of the cafe. Kwangsoo oppa ordered the drinks for us as Jongkook oppa, Sunbin and I talked.

"What are your plans here, Sunbin-ssi?" I asked her. "Kwangsoo oppa wanted to go on a date here ever since he talked about it but it's really such a coincidence to meet the both of you here since he said it's a place only he'd relax at," She explained. "Oh? Really? That's exactly what Jongkook oppa said too," I suspiciously eyed him. He shrugged his shoulders.

"Maybe both of them went out together without us," Sunbin joked. "With him? No thanks," Jongkook played along as I chuckled. Kwangsoo oppa came back with our drinks after a few minutes. As we drank our drinks, I glanced at Kwangsoo oppa who kept giving us weird looks.

I placed down my cup. "What?" I finally asked him, annoyed at his looks. "I really can't believe that you and Jongkook hyung are together," He replied after a few seconds. Sunbin gave him a punch on the arm as Kwangsoo winced. "It's the same with you and Sunbin. I thought it was a skit," Jongkook oppa bickered. I punched him on the shoulder too.

"But here we are, with someone we never expect to be dating," Jongkook oppa elaborated carefully. Sunbin nodded. Kwangsoo oppa scoffed as he saw his girlfriend agreeing. "You never anticipated to be dating with me? I thought I was your ideal type!" He jokingly argued with Sunbin. She laughed and shooked her head.

"You're crazy,oppa," She kept on giggling at her boyfriend. I grinned as I saw how happy both of them were, playing around. Kwangsoo oppa is like a brother to me so seeing him shy and excited made my heart warm.

Jongkook's POV

After a few more conversations, Kwangsoo and I head outside to get fresh air as the Somin and Sunbin kept on chattering about girl stuff that both of us don't understand.

I played with the soft sand, sweeping it with my feet as Kwangsoo was staring at the scenery. "Do you really like her?" Kwangsoo asked in a serious voice. I glanced at his stern expression. He really cared for Somin as a younger sister and I respected that. I nodded. "I like her. Really," I answered. Kwangsoo nodded. "I know what kind of a man you are so my heart is at ease," He said jokingly but I smiled at his words.

"How about you? Are you taking care of your girlfriend properly?" I teased him. Kwangsoo chuckled. "Don't worry. We're doing well," He said proudly. "Who knows about the both of you? Is it only me?" He asked again. "Haha, Jaeseok hyung and you only. Probably Jihyo too, since you said that she had suspicions," I replied. "So, only Sechan and Sukjin hyung doesn't know?" I nodded. "I'll only tell if they find out. It feels weird to confess that Somin and I are dating. You know I don't do personal talks," I explained.

"I see," He said. "What will you do if news gets out?" Kwangsoo asked once more. "I'm just concerned for Somin. You know how many people liked me and Jihyo's spartace. People also liked me and Hong Jinyoung's interactions, which seemed romantic for them," I sighed before continuing. "Somin already has enough haters ever since she got in Running Man and I hated it. It affected her, remember? That one time she was on hiatus for awhile. It was horrible."

Kwangsoo nodded and sighed. "But you'll protect her,right?" He smiled and arched an eyebrow. I chuckled. "Why wouldn't I?"
