Chapter 6

Narrator's POV

"Fine. I'll kiss you then."

He gave a quick peck of soft pursed lips, followed immediately by a hungry desire. No tongue, just lips trying to swallow lips.

Jongkook started to guide Somin by tilting his head for an easier excess. Without realising, Somin had kissed Jongkook back.

It had been a few seconds already.

As their lips moved in unison, Jongkook suddenly stopped his actions. Jongkook backed away and was speechless for a few seconds.

"Somin-ah, I'm sorry. I don't know what came over me to actually..do that," He trailed off his words.

He cupped his mouth as an act of shameless and embarrassment. He looked down to show that he really was sorry.

"I really didn't know why I had to do that. I understand if you get-"

Jongkook's words got cut off as Somin grabbed his arm and pulled him towards her. That made Jongkook look up to meet her eyes.

Somin's POV

My heart was pounding immensely. I gulped my saliva and was in shock that Jongkook oppa actually kissed me.  But..it felt fine. It wasn't disgusting or bad. And honestly speaking, I wanted it to continue.

So I said something that Jeon Somin,who's always shy and timid,would never say.  "Its too late,oppa. You have to continue what you've started," I blurted out, saying what my heart is feeling.

Jongkook's POV

"Somin, I.." I was surprised at what she had said and didn't know what to say.  "Look, maybe we should forget-" I got cut off with Somin's lips on mine.

My eyes widened as she moved closer to me,with our lips attached.  But without thinking,my eyes automatically closed as our lips moved in perfect sync.

Narrator's POV

As Somin guided Jongkook's lips with hers, she went closer to Jongkook's body and that made Jongkook leaned back on the sofa.

It was uncomfortable for Somin to kiss Jongkook sideways.  So she moved to Jongkook's lap and wrapped her arms around his neck.

Jongkook placed his hands on Somin's waist and pulled her closer till their chest meets.  There were no distance between them and the room was getting warmer with every passing second.

Somin's POV

As we exhanged kisses, my heart was beating loudly and quickly. I even felt Jongkook oppa's heartbeat quickened as we kissed.

It wasn't sloppy nor messy. His lips were soft and his kisses were gentle.  His hands on my waist kept pulling me closer towards him and it gave me butterflies.

What happens afterwards didn't matter to me anymore. I just wanted to let my feelings show itself.

Jongkook's POV

It was perfect. I didn't want it to end.

As we pulled away from each other to catch our breaths, I stared into Somin's eyes. Her cheeks brightened as she realised the situation.

I was taken aback myself when I realised that she was sitting on my lap.  My hands were still on her waist and I kept it there.

Narrator's POV

"Ah, what am I going to do with myself? I must be crazy," Somin facepalmed herself with both of her hands.

As she covered her face out of embarrassment, Jongkook grinned. He pulled Somin to himself and relentlessly wrapped his arms around her.

Somin buried her face against Jongkook's neck with her hands still covering her face. A few seconds later, Somin pulled away from his hug and sat up from his lap to sit beside him instead.

Both of them were registering the moment that happened between them.  "Oppa,why did you do that?" Somin mustered up the courage and asked a direct question.

"Well..I did it because I felt tempted to show you that I'm not a bad kisser. That sounds so stupid. I'm sorry," Jongkook's voice got thinner.

"Ah, is that so?" Somin replied in a dull tone. Jongkook looked at her and fiddled with his fingers.  "Why did you want to continue?" He questioned curiously. "Just because," She looked away as she said that.

"Just because?" He got annoyed with that answer. "Answer properly," He demanded a certain answer. Somin glared at him. "You have soft lips," She quickly answered without admitting he's a good kisser.

Jongkook smiled smugly. It wasn't the answer he was looking for.  "I have soft lips? That's your excuse?" He provoked Somin. She looked away and sighed as a sign of annoyance.

"Just tell me already," Jongkook provoked her even more and nudged her shoulders.  "Fine. You're a good kisser and your girlfriends didn't leave you because of that. Happy now?" She bickered. Jongkook gave her a satisfied smile.

Even though they are arguing, it still was a fact that they were kissing a minute ago. And that fact was bothering both of them.

How were they going to work together after this without feeling awkward?
