Narrator's POV

"What? Oppa, you're being so cheesy," Somin covered her face, hiding her smile. She heard Jongkook laughed as she did that. "Can't I compliment my own girlfriend?" He playfully nudged her arms.

Somin removed her hands from her face and softly smiled. "No...I'm just abit shy to hear that," She adjusted her hair, admitting her shyness. Jongkook smiled for a second and stood up abruptly.

Somin looked up in confusion as to why he was suddenly standing. "I better see if Haha needs any help," Jongkook said. He sneakily pecked Somin's forehead before heading towards the kitchen, leaving Somin flustered.

Somin blinked her eyes, feeling her cheeks warmed up. She placed her hand on her beating heart. "Wow, crazy how it is beating so fast just because of that," She mumbled to herself and laughed, thinking of how she gets easily flustered.

Haha's POV

I purposely cooked the dish slowly. I thought that it would be nice to leave them alone. I could leave the restaurant already but my wife and my children went out with my mother-in-law, leaving me all alone. I didn't want to be alone as I get bored easily so here I am, thirdwheeling the new couple.

I was making kimchi fried rice. The dish usually takes about 7 minutes or so but I was slowing the process down to let Jongkook hyung and Somin have their alone time. But I guess Jongkook hyung didn't get the signal as I saw him walking into the kitchen.

I sighed as I saw his appearance. "Hyung, why are you here? You're supposed to be with your girlfriend," I complained as he went beside me. I glanced at him, only to see him squinting his already small eyes, smaller.

"Why?" I asked him, feeling uncomfortable that he was being quiet. "Nothing. I just want to ask something," He suddenly said in a serious manner. I stopped stirring the fried rice and turned off the stove.

I crossed my arms and faced him. "What is it?" I asked. "Be honest, alright?" I nodded in response, curious to know what he was going to ask. "Why are you not asking me much about my relationship with Somin? For the past relationships I've had, the first thing you'd ask was if I was really ready for another relationship. You'd ask if it was going to be my last," He elaborated. I was surprised he still remembered about those questions.

I think it has been 3 years since Jongkook hyung had a girlfriend. I'm not saying that he was a playboy. He'd have serious relationships that can last till 7 years or relationships that only last for a month. But I know that he takes every relationship seriously. It's just a matter of who and which period of time.

"Hyung, for the past 10 years of my life knowing you, you had atleast 3 girlfriends. You would introduce me to them. I'd see the way they look at you and the way you look at them. I can see that you like them or they like you but I knew that it would last only for awhile. You see, eyes tell," I explained carefully. Jongkook hyung's eyebrows frowned in confusion.

"So what is it? Does my eyes look different now or what?" He still got all confused. I sighed heavily this time. "Are you dumb, hyung?" I teased him, backing away as his hand was raised jokingly.

"Yes, your eyes does look different. The way you looked at her and smiled at her. I don't know how many times I've seen you smile to the point where I want to vomit but wow, my heart relaxed when your eyes smiled when looking at Somin. Maybe it's because you knew her for a period of time and feel eased with her but I'm not sure myself," I nodded at my own words.

"Really? Then how did my eyes looked back then with my ex-girlfriends?" He questioned in curiousity. I smirked, tempting to tease him again. I carefully took a step behind. "Full of lust," I whispered playfully as Jongkook hyung's eyes widened.

"Hey! Are you crazy?" He shouted and chased after me. I thought I was going to die so I ran out of the kitchen to see Somin in confusion, shocked at the sudden situation. "Why? What happened?" She sounded concerned and stood up.

I ran quickly behind Somin and hid behind her, knowing too damn well that I was the same height as her so it wouldn't help a thing. Somin automatically turned her body to "protect" me so that Jongkook hyung won't get to me. Wow, are we ripping name tags or what?  I laughed at the situation.

Narrator's POV

Jongkook couldn't help but stop as he can't seem to get Haha, who was hiding behind Somin. It was funny how Somin was trying to protect Haha. Jongkook sighed. "What did you say just now?" He demanded.

"You really want me to say it infront of your girlfriend?" Haha arched an eyebrow. Jongkook's mouth shaped an 'O' as he realised that Somin was before him. "What is it?" Somin got curious and Haha was ready to tell her. Somin faced Haha, standing infront of Jongkook with her back turned on him.

"Don't you dare," Jongkook mouthed the words but Haha ignored it. "Why can't I? I thought you wanted to hear what I said?" Haha provoked Jongkook, making him lean forward to shut Haha's mouth but got stopped by Somin's hand on his chest.

"Stay still," She demanded and Jongkook couldn't help but listen to her words. Haha chuckled at the funny situation. Haha then decided that it was inappropriate to say this infront of a woman so he purposely said something else.

"I said to Jongkook hyung that I can see that he is in love with you," Haha glanced at Jongkook's surprised pikachu face. "Huh?" Jongkook and Somin exclaimed at the same time. "That's not-" Jongkook's words got cut off by Haha's shush.

Somin and Jongkook exchanged glances shyly. Suddenly, Haha's phone rang. He answered the call. "Oh, honey?" He answered, indicating that it was his wife. "You're at home, already? Why didn't you tell me? Okay, I'll be leaving now," He ended the call with a sigh of relief.

Haha looked at the couple before him. "Well, the kimchi fried rice is done and my wife is waiting for me so you two lovebirds can enjoy eating. Enjoy," He winked at the both of them, packed his stuff and left the restaurant with a wave.

Somin, who was still surprised at what Haha said, sat down quietly as Jongkook cleared his throat. "I'll bring out the food," He muttered and went off to the kitchen.
