Chapter 5

Narrator's POV

As Jongkook realised what he said and how he kept staring at her, he cleared his throat and quickly changed the subject.

"Anyways, I cooked the ramyeon for you," Jongkook pointed at the dish made by him. Somin wanted to point out the statement made by him but quickly forgot about it when she saw the noodles.

"Wow, oppa. Thank you! I'll enjoy this," She side-hugged Jongkook and sat down.

Jongkook sat across from Somin and started a conversation.  "Is it nice?" He asked as Somin took her first bite.  She gave a thumbs up and nodded eagerly which made Jongkook laugh softly.

Somin's POV

I finished my meal and thanked Jongkook oppa before asking a question.

"Oppa, why don't you get married already? Your house seems so empty and you work out everyday. Aren't you lonely?" I brought up a sensitive topic to tease Jongkook oppa.

"I'm getting old anyways. There's no reason to marry this late," He said in a rather sad tone.

I must have touched a nerve.

"Don't be ridiculous, you're still in a good shape. I bet there are actually good women waiting for you," I tried to comfort him with my words.

"Who? You?" He playfully said.

"Why not? Don't you think I'd be an amazing partner?" I played along. If someone saw this, they would definitely think that we were flirting.

Jongkook's POV

I was surprised at what Somin had said and it got me flustered.

"So,you would want to be with me?" I counter-attacked her with a bold question."Well, you're nice, I guess," She answered half-heartedly.

She suddenly stood up and went to my fridge, searching for something.  "What are you looking for this time?" I tiredly questioned.

"Oh? Ice cream? Wow, oppa. I didn't know you had a sweet tooth," She took a chocolate ice cream from the fridge and unconcernedly ate the ice cream without asking for my permission.

She must be crazy. I don't even know how many times I've called her crazy since she was casted in Running Man.

"Thats my ice cream, you crazy woman," I showed her a pissed off look as she sat down across from me.

She smiled cheekily. "Do you want some?" She showed me the ice cream.

I sighed and shooked my head. After a minute of eating the ice cream, she washed her hands and sat on the sofa.

I went and sat beside her as she watched the TV. I looked at her and noticed that some of the chocolate ice cream got onto her face.

I chuckled softly and Somin turned her head to face me.

Somin's POV

"Why are you laughing?" I asked out of curiousity since there was nothing funny that happened on the TV programme.

He gave me a smile and suddenly went closer. I got stiff as he wiped something off my face.

"You got chocolate ice cream on your face," He said and licked the ice cream on his fingers.

"And you licked it, oppa? Thats disgusting," I cringed as he did that.

"What? Disgusting? Says the one who handed me a popsicle after tasting it," He scoffed as he said that.

Is he serious? I only handed him that because it tasted horrible. It was a penalty for one of the Running Man episodes.

"But you're the one who ate it. Not me," I argued back. "Then, how about that time when we used the same spoon to eat the rice I made?" He bickered angrily.

Ah, he got me. I did share the same spoon with Jongkook oppa but again, he brought up an excuse.

"Ah, you're so annoying. Its not like I kissed you or anything," He sharply argued.

Jongkook oppa gets pissed off very easily but the thing was I get pissed off very easily too. So I blurted out something I probably shouldn't have said.

"Why? You want to kiss me so bad? Maybe not. Because it's disgusting," I furiously quarreled.

Jongkook's POV

"What did you just say? Kissing me would be disgusting? Ah, this girl. You don't even know anything so be quiet," I disagreed strongly.

The situation was making my chest go up and down, to show that I was feeling annoyed.

Narrator's POV

As the living room got hotter each second, Jongkook and Somin was on the sofa, facing each other as they squabbled.

"Maybe your kisses are so disgusting to the point where your girlfriends left you," Without any reason, Somin kept on talking back which made Jongkook very annoyed.

Jongkook's heartrate began to increase as he heard that. Somin doesn't know how competitive he gets. Doesn't matter if it was about muscles, food, games or kisses anymore.

He wanted to show her. As Jongkook and Somin were facing each other, Jongkook got tempted.

He went nearer to Somin and placed his right hand on Somin's nape, which pulled Somin's head closer to him.

Their nose was touching and Jongkook kept his eyes on Somin's lips.

"Fine. I'll kiss you then."
