-Rey, Ben, and Poe are 5 years old and best Friends

Reys POV

"Rey it's time to go eat!" Poe said dragging me outside with Ben following along behind.

"Really?" I ask and he stopped while looking at me in confusion

"Well yeah why wouldn't we?" Poe said

"It's just that on Jakku it depends on the part you scavenged and it determines how much and how many times you eat for the day..." I explained

"And you did that routine everyday?" Poe asked in disbelief

"Yeah... it would get tiring and I wouldn't want to do it but I had to choice if I didn't want to die of starvation" I said while Poe looked down sadly and Ben gave me a comforting smile that made me feel slightly better.

"Well Rey here you can eat as much as you want" Ben said joyfully to rise up the mood.

"Really?" I asked curiously and happy at the same time

"Yup. I suggest you don't over eat because my mommy says that it makes you feel weird and you sometimes want to throw up" Ben said while Poe shudders while Ben talks about throwing up.

"Yeah I don't want that" I giggling

"I'm hungry" Poe groaned while you can barely hear the rumble in his stomach. Ben and I both laughed quietly.

"Let's go then" Ben said

"Race you both there!" Poe said and took off running

"Hey no fair you got a head start! We didn't even say go!" Ben yelled and we both ran after him. A while later we found Poe and picked up our speed passing him slightly.

"Hey!" Poe said

"Sorry" I said and ran with Ben until we saw the cafeteria in view.

"I'm gonna win!" Ben said

"You forget that I'm beside you" I giggled

"And you both forget that I'm behind you" Poe commented. We were both close to the door until I felt something heavy hit my back that it tripped me and then tripped Ben.

"Poe seriously" Ben laughed as we rolled to the front door and came to a stop. I opened my eyes and saw that we were right at the door step to enter the cafeteria.

"Guys I think we're stuck!" Poe yelled worriedly

"Maybe but look" I say while I put my hand above the floor to the Cafeteria

"Don't you dare!" Ben said scrambling to get his arm out

"I dared" I smirked and slammed my hand on the floor making me the winner of the race.

"Awww man did she win" Poe complained

"Yup" Ben said and slammed his hand on the floor too beside me

"Oh come on you did too" Poe complained once again

"Yes and now you are in last place Poe" Ben laughed

"That's no fair" Poe said

"Sorry there were no rules" I said shrugging

"Pft whatever" Poe muttered

"Oh come on Poe don't be a sore loser" Ben said while trying to get himself up

"I'm not being a sore loser!" Poe said

"Yes you are now get up" Ben laughed while he held his hand out to both of us as soon as he got up.

"It's okay Poe maybe next time" I said hopefully and he nodded while we both took Bens hand. Ben pulled us up and we walked inside. Once I did I was hit by an amazing smell that I never recognized before.
