Waited for so long....(1/3)

Panic

Josh POV

I am calling an ambulance.Colleen is unconcious and Sam is tending to her as I race downstairs to open the front door for the paramedics. I am still holding Lilly and crying like crazy. I see the paramedics start working on her. iV goes in, chest monitors everything. She is breathing but slowly. Sam is telling them that Colleen's uterus will not stop bleeding. She is hemorraging, basically bleeding to death. Sam runs out with the paramedics and in the back of the ambulance. I crawl in as well with Lilly. I sit in the back and look at Colleen. Sam grabs my arm and says she will be fine. I look again and I am not so sure. We get to the hospital and they race in with her. I call Rachel to get to the hospital fast. as I sit and wait for news. About 10 minutes later Rachel comes and finds me. She didn't know Lilly was born yet so she has the biggest smile on her face. Then she sees my face and she knows something isn't right. "Colleen is with the doctors. She is unconcious Rachel she is bleeding to dea..." I say crying. Rachel hugs me. "Josh she will be okay" Rachel says. I nod and sit down. "Can I hold my niece?" she asks. I smile and pass Lilly to her. I then hear a doctor call my name and I walk towards him. Sam is close behind him. "Mr Evans your wife is going to be fine. We stopped the bleeding. She is resting comfortably in Room 102 down the hall. You midwife here saved her life" he says. I hug Sam tight and walk down the hall.

Colleen POV

I wake up in a hospital. I am confused. Where is Lilly and Josh? Was I dreaming? I then hear the door open and Josh comes in crying. "Babe oh my god. You are going to give me a heart attack" he says as he hugs me. I ask what happened and Josh explains everything to me. Rachel then walks in with Lilly. Colleen lights up. "There is my girl!" Colleen says. She tries to sit up to hold her but winces and lays back down. "I forgot I just gave birth, I am really sore" she laughs. "Colleen you need to take it easy you lost alot of blood babe" as I kiss her. She still looks pale. Just then the doctors walked in and asked to speak with Josh and I. Rachel, Lilly and Sam left the room with Lilly.

"Colleen, you lost a lot of blood. Your uterus kept pumping blood and wouldn't stop. This happens sometimes when women give birth. Your midwife saved your life as she stopped it until you got here. We have stitched you and put medicine in your IV to clot ur blood. You need to rest for two weeks with complete bedrest. If you feel any numbness or ill or headaches you must come to the hospital immediately okay?" I nod. Josh again looks like he going to be sick with worry. I grab his hand and smile at him.
