Home time

Josh POV

I brought her home and right to bed. I laid down with her for a bit and then decided I needed to start learning to cook. Colleen was basically not allowed to do much and if I could figure out how to make some simple meals it would helps us both. Youtube is good for more than just vlogs....lots of cooking videos. I started making pasta for Colleen and I for dinner and actually it was quite easy. I didn't make sauce from scratch but it was better than nothing. I served it all into bowls and put it on a tray and carried it upstairs so we could have a picnic in bed. I walked into our room and she was sitting up reading! I couldn't believe it. "Babe you are up???!!!" I say as I sit the tray down on the night table. I sit down on the edge of the bed and give her a hug and a kiss. 

Colleen POV

Josh walks in with food for me and him and it makes my heart melt. He tries so hard for me. "Babe I feel so much better. It must have been that shot." as I hug him back. "You made this all yourself babe?" I ask. "Yes I watched a youtube video" he laughs. "Thats great baby....I love you thank you so much" I reply. We sit there cross legged and eat our dinner. Josh then goes and gets the cards and we play some card games to pass the time. I start rubbing my eyes about an hour into the game. Josh asks "Colleen we can go to bed if you need to sleep?" I nod my head and say "Can you come too? I need snuggles" I whine and then laugh. He jumps off the bed and undresses and climbs into bed with me. He inches closer to me and wraps his arms around me with his hands on my tummy. Although this sucks that I need to be in bed for two weeks. I love the time I get with my man.

--two weeks later---

We have our next doctors appt.. I feel so much better. I walk into the doctors office hand in hand with Josh. I get ushered into the exam room and change again into a gown. Dr Jansen walks in and she says "Colleen how are you feeling? You look so much better" " I am feeling a million times better" I reply. "Can you lay back on the table for me please?" she asks me. I lay back and she starts examining my stomach. "Everything feels normal" as she smiles. "I am going to give you both shots again to tide you over to the end of your first trimester okay?" she suggests. I nod. "Now the next visit will be in a month  and we can find out what sex of the baby is". Josh and I smile at each other. "Now I want you to rest during the next few weeks and not do too much even though you are feeling better otherwise it will backfire and you will be put on bedrest again or worse will be in the hospital" she explains. I nod. She gives me another set of shots and I change to leave. Josh hugs me tight and has a huge smile on his face.

Josh POV

Colleen and baby are fine. I can exhale. We have decided to go do some Christmas shopping for an hour or so. We don't have much to get as Colleen and I have been online shopping when Colleen was on bedrest. We had no choice but to do online shopping due to Colleens medical condition.We walk around the outdoor mall holding hands. Colleen loves Christmas and her face is lit up. She is smiling from ear to ear. I hug her and kiss her head. "Baby I am so happy. I feel like I can enjoy this time now" she says. "I am so glad you feel better babe but don't overdo it"  I say. She nods. We walk over to a personalizing store. We get some gifts for family members to surprise them on the pregnancy. We are so excited. Life is good.
