Waited for so long....(1/3)

June 19th....the day

Josh POV

I woke up in my bed alone and for the first time that I was okay with it because I knew there was a reason behind it. Colleen had left to go the hotel the night before so that we could uphold tradition and not see each other the day of the wedding. I jumped out of bed and threw on some pj bottoms and made my way down the hallway knocking on the bedroom doors to wake up all the friends and family that slept over to be with me. Charlie,Tim, Chris,Arnold,Trent,Jeremy and the dads all came back to stay after we went out for dinner and had a few drinks the night before. I shouted "today is the day...wake up!!!"

I heard the movement in the rooms and heard some laughing from the guys.They knew I was beyond excited. I walked down the stairs to the kitchen to grab some grapes and some juice. I stood there in the kitchen alone with the biggest smile on my face. I grabbed my phone and texted Colleen.

"baby I cannot believe 6 years ago today was when we first began and I am so happy to become your husband. Love you so much xo"

Colleen immediately wrote back which didn't shock me...I knew she was up early getting breakfast with the ladies and then had to start prepping for the day.

"Awwww Snoopy I love you more xoxo....now get in the shower and meet me at the altar later" she texted back.  I just smiled. Smiled like an idiot. This girl who I had been searching for my entire adult life was more than what I could have hoped for and dreamt about.

I ran up to my room and started the shower in my bathroom. I jumped in and started cleaning myself up. I finished and then I shaved and brushed my teeth. I threw on a pair of shorts and tshirt and started to gather my stuff to bring to the hotel to get dressed etc. The guys and I had a room rented there to get dressed in closer to the time of the wedding which wasn't until 7pm.  I heard a knock at my bedroom door it was my future father in law, Tim. He asked "Can I speak to you for a minute?" Of course" I replied and invited him into my room as I gathered the last few things I needed. He sat down on my bed and said "I don't want to be corny or be sappy but I just wanted to say Gwen and I are thrilled with Colleens chocie for a husband". I looked at him shocked. I didn't think I would ever hear those words come from him even though I knew he liked me. "Thank you so much it means a lot" I replied. "I love your daughter more than myself and will do everything I can to keep her safe and feel loved every day of her life" I continued. Tim smiled at me and gave me a hug and said "i Know you will. Take care of my baby girl."

Colleens POV

I was sitting in the restaurant at the main level of the hotel having breakfast with all the ladies and Kory . I smiled as I looked around at these important people in my life at the table. I cleared my throat and started to talk as everyone was busy chattering amongst themselves. " i just wanted to say I am so thrilled you are all here with me. I could and would not be here without all of you being in my life. I have always been blessed with great family and friends however today I am blessed a again with an amazing husband who I know loves me to pieces and I love just as much. Thank you again I love you all". My mom got up as she cried and came over to hug me as the others shouted their love back to me and wishing me a lifetime of happiness. "I love you my baby girl. I am soooo happy for you and Josh. Now make me some more grandchildren. " she laughed. "Mom you will have to wait a little bit. Let me enjoy Josh and I by ourselves for a bit " I said laughing. "You sound like Josh wanting kids like yesterday" I said to her. Just then my cell phone bepped....It was Josh telling me he loved me. What did I do to be so blessed? God I loved this man. Hurry up 7pm!
