Recovery time

Colleen POV

I came home from the hospital and was put on bedrest again. Josh was a mess with worry. My poor man has been through so much during this pregnancy. I have a nurse coming in daily to make sure I am alright and recovering. Josh hired her. I couldn't argue I had to let him do what would make him feel more comfortable since he was being Mr. Mom for the next two weeks and had to do everything except feed Lilly. He brought her to me for that. I am 9 days into my 14 days in bed and Julie the nurse comes walking down the hallway with Josh right behind her. "Hi Colleen, how are you today?" she asks as she puts down her stuff. "I am doing great" I say. "Colleen tell Julie about the cramps babe, you have to tell her everything" Josh says. Julie looks at me. "Whats happening?" she asks. I tell her it feels like period cramps but a little stronger at times. She feels around on my stomach and then asks me if I am bleeding anymore. Not that much anymore I tell her truthfully. "Well sometimes cramping happens because basically everything is trying to go back to its regular spot as it was before pregnancy but we will keep an eye on it. Let me know everyday it happens ok?" as she writes it all down in her chart. She checks my blood pressure, pulse & temperature. "All looks good Colleen. See you tomorrow. Josh if anything happens call me day or night. Night guys!" she says as she walks away. "Bye Julie" Josh and I both say together. Josh then sits beside me and kisses me. "Where is Lilly?" I ask. "Sleeping" he says. "You are so incredible Josh. I love you" I say to him. "Just taking care of my girls" he says with a smile and kisses me.

Josh POV

I look at Colleen and she looks so pale. Having Lilly nearly killed her. I love what she has done for us to have a family. Colleen starts needing to get up to go to the bathroom. I help her up and walk her to the bathroom slowly. She has no energy yet from all the blood loss. I wait outside the bathroom and she says "Josh! come in here". I walk in and Colleen is leaning against the counter. She looks so tiny. "Whats wrong baby?"I ask . "I just felt like I am going to faint and didnt want to" she says. "Colleen I am taking you to the hospital" I say. "NO, NO,NO Josh its because I stood up too fast" she says. Now I am getting angry. "Colleen please let me be your husband!" I say. "Just call Julie back first" she says. I walk her back to bed and sit her down before I call Julie. JUlie comes over and does all of the tests again to Colleen. Her blood pressure has dropped. "I think she will be fine though but will call the doctor to give her Colleens vitals" she says. Julie gets on her phone as I walk over to Colleen who is almost asleep now. Julie is telling the doctor Colleens information and the doctor sends over a prescription of b12 and iron shots like she had before when she was pregnant to rebuild her blood levels faster. Julie excuses herself and goes to the pharmacy to get them. "Colleen how are you doing baby?" I whisper to her. "I am awesome" she looks at me and smiles. My gut tells me she isn't awesome and I start to cry.
