Hayes POV
I try not to laugh at Amber's surprised face when the cashier starts to sing to her. She looks so confused and I can't help but break out in a grin.
The cashier hops over the counter and grabs Amber's hand, just as we planned.
"E is even more than anyone that you can adore..." He continues to sing and Amber's facial expression is priceless as he leads her to a table in the center of the food court. Random shoppers are looking interested and suprised as a few more guys follow Amber to the table joining in with the song. I picked L.O.V.E by Nat King Cole because it's always been one of my favorites.
Amber's sat down in a chair and I sit down next to her awkwardly since I'm not really apart of this part. About a dozen more people in on the performance have stood up from their chairs and started dancing as Amber starts to laugh while covering her mouth in shock. The son soon changes into Marry You by Bruno Mars as Amber is led away from the food court, towards the fountain downstairs.
About 50 people now are following as the original cashier leads her through the mall singing the Bruno Mars song. I walk with them, making sure to record the whole thing and getting ready to pop the question. There are tears in Amber's eyes and she continues to be marched through the mall with at least 70 people dancing around her and singing.
"It's a beautiful night, we're looking for something dumb to do. Hey baby, he wants to go to prom with you." Everyone sings and dancers dance around Amber who now has a tiara on her head. As the parade goes down the escalator and the song continues , I smile to myself just hoping she says yes.
Amber's met at the bottom of the escalator by her parents, Olivia and Will carrying Skylnn, Reb, Cam, Danielle, and a few of her other friends I got in on it. It's almost my time.
I duck away as Amber is sat down on a bench in front of the fountain that has roses set up around it and lights and stuff. The cashier presents Amber with a dozen roses and tears are literally streaming down her face. She's crying and laughing at the same time and she looks beautiful.
It's my turn now. Amber's friends and family stand behind her watching everything and filming as everyone finishes the song and the dance and stops in front of Amber. Everyone raises their hands in the air as a big finale and Amber is laughing and crying so hard right now.
Then all of the dancers and singers, there are at least 100 now plus random bystanders who found this parade cute, hold their arms out and step back creating a huge aisle. I step out into the middle looking straight at Amber holding a single black box in my hands. Amber starts crying even harder and Olivia is even crying a little too.
I start to walk down the huge aisle towards Amber, the people on the sides awwing and sighing happily. When I reach Amber, standing in front of her on the bench, about 150 people watching at this point. She covers her mouth with her hands, obviously really surprised. Reb hands her a tissue and she laughs and dries her eyes before turning back to me.
"Amber Elizabeth Rhodes, we met in November of last year exactly 166 days ago. And that day, that day I'll never forget. Amber I was in an orange jumpsuit that day and you stopped to yell at someone for throwing his trash down and talked to me." I smiled remembering that day, remembering how amazing and beautiful I thought she was. "And ya know, I thought you were really hot." Everyone laughs at this and I shrug because it's true. "But I also thought you were confident and not afraid to speak your mind and kind and fantastic. Everyone thought I was dangerous and you stuck by me, even when I gave you reasons to just ditch me. Amber you were the one who continuously forgave me and trusted me and I thank you so much for that. And when my mother died 2 months ago," I sigh and try not to start crying thinking about my mom. "You told me I wasn't alone. You were there for me and you've always been there fore me and I know you always will be."
