Amber POV
"Bet you 20 bucks they're going to get engaged in the next year." I tell Hayes raising my eyebrows, inviting him to take the bet.
"Nah, I agree with you." He responds wrapping his arm around my shoulder. "They're in lurve."
We continue to watch Will and Olivia as Olivia goes to take her turn. As she walks up to bowl, Will comes up behind her and tickles her waist making Olivia drop the ball. It goes down the lane at a snail like pace. Will laughs and Olivia slaps him flirtaciously and Hayes and I share a glance.
"Um, we're kind of amazing matchmakers." He comments.
"I know right."
After we bowl for another hour or so, the four of us decide to head back to our house so we can just order pizza.
"Can we get olives?" Hayes wonders.
"Who the hell likes olives?" Olivia snorts.
"Obviously the one who just asked you fruit loop dingus." I retort.
Olivia laughs and rolls her eyes. We end up getting olives on some of the pizza anyway because Hayes and I both like them and we couldn't care less about what Olivia says. Ah, I love life.
It's the first day in the month of May and for the first time in these past few months, everything is in place. Hayes and I are perfectly perfect and preparing for college together. Will and Olivia are continuing to fall in love. Hunter has left me alone and returned to Kate, which is fine by me. Love is in the air, right in time for prom season.
Prom is May 21, which is 3 weeks from now just in case you couldn't caluculate that. Hayes hasn't asked me yet but I'm pretty sure he's going to. I mean of course he is, we're together. But prom doesn't really seem like Hayes's type of thing. But it's like the most important day of a girl's life. Anyways, he hasn't asked me yet.
Cam just asked Reb last night in the cheesiest but most adorable way by seranading her in the food court, when we were just devouring chick-fil-a. Ignoring all of the stares, Cam stood up on a chair and sang Reb's favorite song of all time, "Thinkin Bout You" by Frank Ocean and changing it to prom lyrics and she cried and I got the whole beautiful moment and it was amazing. I want that.
"Hey, my little sister is coming down to visit Will and I next week." Hayes tells me later that night as we lay in my room watching The Avengers.
"She's staying with you?" I ask excited.
"Yeah, just for the weekend."
"Ohmygosh yay! I can't wait to meet her." I squeal.
"I know she'll love you." He says squeezing my hand. I'm really psyched actually mainly because I love little kids and it'll be really fun. But I also wanna see Hayes with his little sister because it was so cute seeing him with his nephew. Gah, I love him.
We continue to watch The Avengers with my thoughts about Hayes and Skylnn. But there's also a little irking in my mind. I know I can't just bring up prom, I'll sound so desperate. We haven't talked about it at all and of course I want to go with Hayes, he's my boyfriend. I love him and going to prom with Hayes would be a great memory before we go to U of Penn and make even more memories together.
The next week of school is full of fantabulous promposals none of which to me by the way. My friend Danielle's boyfriend Ben decorates her locker with rose petals and confetti shoots out of her locker. Hunter presents Kate with this huge teddy bear holding a box of chocolates that says prom in front of the school at lunch. It seems that he has moved on quite quickly. I can't even deny the fact that I'm a teensy bit jealous that he moved on so fast and that he made that adorable proposal even if he is an asshole.
