Hayes POV
The flight attendant wakes me up and I groggily open my eyes. Amber has her earbuds in but her eyes are closed and Reb is still reading a magazine.
I look out the window and the sun is bright. California.
"I can't believe we're really here." Reb says to me while shaking Amber awake.
"I know, it's amazing." I respond and then we're getting off of our plane.
"I'm so glad you're here." Amber says squeezing my hand as we walk into the airport.
"So am I." This is amazing. A few months ago I was beating people senseless and Amber was scared of me, and now we're in California together. Amazing.
"How many rental cars are we getting?" Kate asks Hunter, as the 6 of us head to the baggage claim.
"2 probably." He responds. "That's enough right?" He asks Amber and she just nods. After getting our suitcases, we head out to the rental car place. Amber, Kate, and Reb want a red convertible while us guys want the black pick up truck.
"You guys get yours and take it to the house and we'll meet you there." Amber says sliding into the drivers seat of the convertible. "Hunter you have a key right?" He holds it up and the girls get in their car. I wave to Amber and she blows a kiss. I laugh and Hunter rolls his eyes.
I get in the pick up truck with Hunter and Cam, just glad that Cam and I are friends so there's one male I can hang out with. The ride is a bit awkward with the three of us in there but I guess we'll get used to each other. Well, I'll never get used to Hunter.
We finally pull into the driveway of a beautiful house, right on the beach. The girls' car isn't in the driveway so we must've gotten here first.
"This place is huge." I comment and Cam nods as Hunter unlocks the door.
"Yeah, my parents and Amber's do pretty well." Hunter says arrogantly which makes me want to punch him. Too bad this is technically his beach house.
"Damn." Cam says when we step inside and I can see where he's coming from. The two of us stare at it while Hunter just walks in like he owns it. Ugh he does.
"We should probably wait for the girls to pick bedrooms." Hunter announces. "Where are they anyways?" As if on cue, I hear shrieks behind me.
"Oh my gosh!"
"This place is fantastic!"
"What took you so long?" I ask Amber when she comes up behind me. Then upon seeing the Starbucks cup in her hand, I have my answer.
"Isn't this place amazing?" She asks and I nod.
"It's great. Thank you, Amber, for bring me." I say and she just waves her hand like it's nothing.
"Time to pick rooms!" She shouts and everyone starts to run upstairs. "Save the master for Olivia and Nick they're coming later tonight!" She groans and I just laugh.
Everyone goes to pick out their room and I immediately find mine. It has a nice green wall color and a balcony that overlooks the ocean.
"Mine!" I call and throm my luggage on the bed.
I see Amber has picked the room next to mine and it connects to Rebs so they share a bathroom. Hunter's room connects to Cam's across from Reb and Amber's and Kate's is across from mine. We all get settled before heading back downstairs into the huge family room.
"This is glorious." Kate sighs and I can't help but agree.
"We're adults." Amber laughs and we all just lounge in the family room.
