I hold onto Clarke's hand tightly as we get out of the Uber and walk into the restaurant that Leigh-Anne insisted we had to go to. He's handling the two pills and shots of vodka we took before leaving much better than I am. We walk up to the host who eyes us slightly suspiciously.
"Can I help you?" she asks.
"Um, yeah. The rest of our party is already here. The reservation is under Pinnock," I say.
She nods and turns around. "Follow me."
We do as we are told and snake our way through the restaurant to the back where our group is seated in a bit more of a private location. I must hand it to Leigh. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and the food smells and looks amazing. When we arrive at the table, Claude excitedly gets up and slaps Clarke on the back.
"My man," he exclaims.
Clarke gives a slight chuckle and allows me to scoot into the side of the booth before settling down next to me. Leigh shoots me a look, raising her eyebrows as if to ask if Clarke has been updated. I give her a slight nod before looking away, making sure Clarke doesn't take note of it.
"Damn Jade. He's hot," Jesy says, eyeing Clarke up and down.
I groan and shoot her a look. "What happened to being on your best behavior?"
She shrugs. "Just paying him a compliment is all. At least I didn't ask how your sex life is."
Clarke chokes on his water slightly causing the rest of the group to laugh.
"That's our wonderful Jesminda. Don't mind her. She's all talk," Leigh says.
"I most certainly am not. If you hurt my little Jade then I will not hesitate to rip your balls off," she says with a glare.
Clarke chuckles slightly at her threat but grabs my hand nervously under the table. I silently thank the universe for Leigh and Claude sitting across from us rather than Jesy and Perrie, the latter of whom hasn't said a word or even glanced over at us. Instead, she busies herself with something on her phone. I try to ignore it but I can't help but look over at her every few seconds, for some reason desperate for her attention.
"Babe?" Clarke asks squeezing my hand.
I jump a bit and turn to him. "What was that?"
"She asked if you wanted something else to drink," he says motioning towards the waitress.
"I'll take a Malibu and coke please." Maybe some more alcohol will help calm me down.
"Whatever decent scotch you have, on the rocks please," Clarke instructs.
The woman nods and heads off and we turn our attention back to the group. Jesy, Leigh and Claude are talking excitedly about the club we're going to tonight. Apparently, it's newer and a bit exclusive, right up Leigh-Anne's alley.
"Honestly Leigh by the end of this tour we aren't going to have any money left if you keep dragging us out to these expensive places," Perrie finally speaks, glancing up from her phone.
"Oh, hush you. I'm just trying to make sure we have a good time."
"Looks like some of us already are," she remarks.
Clarke turns his head at that but thankfully doesn't comment. The waitress comes back, setting our drinks in front of us. Almost simultaneously, Clarke and I both grab our glasses and down a significant amount of them. Perrie shoots me a disgruntled look while rolling her eyes.
"Everything okay over there Pez?" I say, perhaps a little too snippy.
She shakes her head, changing her upset expression to something a bit more neutral.
