I stumble out from Clarke's car and dart back into the hotel unnoticed. I'm stoned off my ass and the ten painkillers I bought off of him rattles around in my pocket as I walk to the lift. Miraculously, I manage to make my way back to my room and unlock the door. It's almost six o'clock and I'll barely have enough time to shower and throw everything in my suitcase.
I flick the lights on, grab a spare change of clothes and jump straight into the shower. I don't bother washing my hair, I don't have the time for it anyways. By the time I'm dried off and dressed it's already six thirty. I rush around the room, not even caring to properly pack as meticulously as I usually do. Instead, everything gets bundled and thrown in the case which will barely close.
Exhausted, I collapse onto the bed with ten minutes to spare before bus call. I groan as someone knocks on the door.
"Open up!"
"Pissing hell," I mutter as I hear Jesy's voice through the door.
I really don't want to do this right now but at least I'm high enough to where they won't piss me off. Groaning, I force myself off the bed and make my way to the door.
When I open it, all three of them barge in without a word.
"Good morning to you too," I quip sarcastically.
"You look like shit," Jesy responds.
"Thanks Jess. Always know how to make a girl feel good."
She just shrugs and plops down on the couch next to Leigh-Anne. Perrie sits on the edge of the bed.
"So," I say stalling. "How was your guy's night?"
"Cut the shit Jade," Pez snaps.
I just nod and look down at the ground, hoping they don't notice my bloodshot eyes.
"Where'd you go yesterday?" Leigh questions.
"I was hanging out with an old friend from South Shields. He moved out here a little while ago and got in touch when he heard we were in the area," I explain.
"Anyone I know?" Perrie asks curiously.
Growing up in the same area, we know a lot of the same people. It's quite odd how we'd never met before X Factor.
"Clarke Murphy."
Perrie narrows her eyes at me when I say his name.
"What? You know him?" Jes asks her.
"Not exactly. I've run into him once or twice. Mam always told me to steer clear of him," she explains.
"Why's that?" I ask a little annoyed.
While Clarke had a rough home life, he was never a problem child growing up. Both of us were a bit of swots and he was quiet enough, keeping his head down.
Perrie shrugs. "His parents were always either selling or using drugs. Mam didn't want me around that."
"He's never been into that kind of stuff," I say a little too quickly and defensively.
"That was convincing," Jes says with an attitude.
I roll my eyes. "Whatever."
"Did she seriously just 'whatever' me?"
Jesy's face is plastered in shock and outrage as her gaze shoots around to each of us. It makes me laugh which pisses her off even more. She jumps off the couch, stepping up close to me.
"Listen you little shit-," she starts. "Oh, for fuck's sake."
She suddenly stops her ranting as realization runs through her eyes.
