"You're awake."

I raise my hand to my face, trying to wipe the sleep from my eyes. I quickly turn to the source of the voice, my gaze landing on Perrie, before scanning my surroundings. I'm laying in a hospital bed surrounded by a wall of curtains. Someone changed me into a gown and I still have an IV in my arm. The oxygen mask has been switched out for a cannula though.

"How long was I out?" I ask Perrie. My voice comes out raspy and hoarse, barely sounding like my own.

"Couple of hours," she says shrugging. "How are you feeling?"

"Like I got hit by a double decker and thrown into River Thames but strangely still better than earlier. Where's Clarke?" I ask sitting up a bit.

Perrie rolls her eyes at the mention of his name before pausing and breaking eye contact with me.

"What?" I aggressively press. "What did you do?"

"I'll tell you everything but not until Leigh-Anne and Jesy get back from the vending machine.  We need to talk as a group and I don't want them walking in blindly to a screaming match."

"What exactly is this screaming match going to be about?"

Perrie grabs a sheet of paper off of the table next to my bed and holds it up. "This."

I snatch the paper out of her hand and scan the document. It's my toxicology report. Even without knowing what everything listed is, I know it's not good that I'm positive in multiple categories. I slowly nod and hand the paper back to her without a word. She takes it back, neither of us meeting the others gaze. An awkward silence stretches across us as we wait for Jes and Leigh.

"I'm not going to scream," I softly whisper.

"What?" Perrie asks, snapping her head from off the floor.

"This isn't going to turn into a screaming match."

Her eyebrows furrow together in a frown as she thinks for a bit. After a few seconds she shrugs and shakes her head.

"It's not?" she asks confused.

Now I shake my head. "No. I'm too tired. Too tired of everything right now. Performing, interviews, eating, showering, hiding, lying, breathing, existing. I'm sick of all of it."

Before Perrie can reply, the curtain rips back and in walks Leigh and Jes, arms full of drinks and snacks.

"Oh thank God," Leigh breathes. She throws all the food onto the bed, bruising my ankle, and runs to my side, hugging me tightly. I hug her back slightly, still too sore to return her enthusiasm.

Jesy stands at the foot of the bed, studying me closely for a moment before raising her eyebrows. "You're an idiot," is all she says. I don't bother responding. It's not like she isn't wrong.

"How are you feeling?" Leigh asks.

"Been better," I mumble.

"I'll say. What the hell were you thinking? You promised us Jade," Jesy starts.

"I know Jes. I'm sorry."

"Sorry doesn't cut it anymore. You're turning into a broken record and I'm over it."

We go quiet again for a minute.

"Where's Clarke?" I finally ask again.

Jesy gives a slight chuckle. "If he's got any brains then he's already on a plane back to Amsterdam or wherever it is he's from."

Anger sparks through me, giving me a burst of energy. I sit up off the bed and glare between her and Perrie. Leigh conveniently casts her attention down to her hands.
