The Guardian's Tale (AOT fanfiction)

-Assault on Stohess pt.2-

As we got up, we looked behind us and stared at the rubble. Blood stained the stones and corpses intertwined with each other. The female Titan's hand reached for us through the opening and we started running. 

"What do we do now ?" Mikasa asked.

"First we rendezvous with the squad 3 and get above ground." I said as we all used the fire coming from my mouth as a torch. "Then we fight A-...the Female Titan as per plan B. Eren, you'll help catch her with your Titan formed like we planned." He then looked at me with a questioning look and I shook my head. "I'm sorry you'll have to do this yourself. I can't transform...yet."

"HEY !" A Scout yelled in front of us. "Capture Plan A failed ?!"

"It's Squad 3 !" I exclaimed, opening my mouth wider to give us more light. "Y-Yes plan A failed. Please switch to the backup pl-" I froze when I heard something coming down. "GET OUT OF THE WAY !"

It was too late, as soon as I said that, the female Titan's foot came crashing down and crushed Squad 3. We all covered our faces with our arms, protecting ourselves from the smoke and debris flying all over the place. I pulled Eren and Mikasa back and gazed over at the hole the female Titan had made. Did she not care if she killed Eren ? We started running the opposite way as Armin explained how she took a gamble which made her all the more formidable. She was THAT desperate to catch Eren huh ? She'll have to get through us first.

We crouched down and discussed what we should do. Her foot came crashing from the ceiling once again. If we stayed here she'd eventually crush us. Suddenly, Eren pulled us so close that my head was on his chest, close enough to hear his heartbeat. He bit his hand but nothing happened. Just like that time back at the old Scout Regiment HQ. He tried over and over and eventually I had enough. I pulled him up by the collar of his shirt and slammed him to the wall, the flames coming out of my mouth becoming hotter and brighter.

"LISTEN TO ME THAT'S ENOUGH !" I growled, showing him my fangs to warn him not to resist. "Could you still be having qualms about fighting Annie ?!" I asked as he looked away silently. "Heh...after all this...don't tell me you still think that she can't possibly be the female Titan." I scoffed as my eyes burnt a brighter red and hatred and anger started filling them. "GOD DAMMIT EREN WHAT DID YOU SEE JUST NOW HUH ?!" I slammed him against the wall again. "SHE KILLED OUR COMRADES ! DO YOU STILL FUCKING THINK IT'S NOT HER ?!" I let go of the collar of his shirt. "...Fine...I'll do it myself."

I took off my coat and tossed it to the ground. Without giving it a second thought, I headed off to kill her. I landed on a rooftop in a crouching position and pulled out my blades.

"I think it's time you pay up...traitor." I grinned darkly at her.

I immediately planted my hooks in her and managed to slice her arm. Then her stomach, then her back, until she swung her arm which sent me flying into a house. 

"God...ouch seriously ?" I mumbled as the wound on my stomach reopened. "Time to put this fire to use I guess..." I looked down at my hands and slowly got up.

I planted my hooks in her again and time seemed to slow. I exhaled, making the fire in my mouth slightly move. I then concentrated flames around my hand and tapped her shoulder. Just the small impact made flames start eating away at her muscles and I let out a small smile. IT WORKED ! Then, I noticed Mikasa fighting beside me. I was going to tell her to move but as Annie swung her arm through houses, Mikasa was hit by a rock and fell to the ground. 

"Shit..." I mumbled. "It's fine she'll get up."

Surely enough she opened her eyes and we nodded at each other. We got back up and we planted out hooks in a nearby house. Then, I sliced the female Titan's left ankle and she took the other. She regained her balance quickly and kicked my side, luckily, I was able to crystallize it in time but I was thrown against a house.

"YUKI !" Jean yelled as he landed in front of me. "You ok ?! What's with the red eyes and fire in your mouth ?" I slowly pushed off of the house, not saying a word. "Forget it come on."

He helped me get up and him, Armin and I lured Annie where Hange and the others were waiting, ready to fire off the same hooks as before. Surely enough, she followed and as soon as we passed them, he hooks fired and kept her in place. All of the struggling made her fall down and we took this chance to rest on a rooftop. We then helped the Scouts throw a spiked mat on her to keep her pinned down. 

We came glided down and Jean helped me stand properly as I had my hand over my stomach wound which was now bleeding more than before as my body slowly tried healing itself. I gripped his back as Hange got close to the Titan. It might be Annie but she would have no trouble or remorse killing the Section Commander. All of a sudden, Annie moved her foot, destroying what was holding her down. Jean and I jumped back and blood started leaking down my mouth again. She broke free ?! She started running and we were ordered to follow after her.

"Can you run ?" Jean asked, worried.

I nodded and followed right behind him and Armin. She swung her hand again, this time making bigger rocks fly. I tried to avoid as much as possible but the pain from my stomach made me lose my balance. Luckily, I spotted Jean and extended my arms towards him. He grabbed my hand and flung me over the oncoming rocks.

"Thanks horse face...I owe you one." I smiled as I glided through the city beside him.

I planted my hooks in the female Titan's shoulder, slicing off a good chunk of flesh. She kicked me along with Mikasa, down to the ground. I tried to regain my balance but ended up making my fall worst. I laid there, a pool of blood forming under me as several cuts were added to my body.

"M-Mika...Mikasa..." I called out as I extended my arm towards her.

All of a sudden, a yellow flash of lightning came striking down and I let my head fall back onto the ground. He did it. Eren managed to transform.
