The Guardian's Tale (AOT fanfiction)

-First battle pt.3-

I spotted Mikasa and Armin and I joined her on the rooftop.

"Mikasa what are you doing ? We have to get ou-" I started to say.

"That Titan....they're cannibalizing it." She said, shocked as she looked at the rogue Titan.

She was right. The Titan that had helped us earlier was getting eaten by the others. But that type of stuff never happened. They only went for humans, never each other. 

"I...I thought that if we could somehow figure out what was up with that Titan, it could've helped us break free from this hopeless situation." I said as I looked down at the rogue.

"I agree." Reiner said as I turned my head to look at him. "We'll learn nothing at all if it ends up getting eaten. For now, we have to get rid of the ones clinging to it and help keep it alive !" 

Jean's arguing was interrupted as we saw the abnormal that ate Thomas walking towards the rogue Titan. The rogue immediately broke free of the other Titans and bit directly into its nape. How...How did he know ? And why did he look like he wanted to get revenge on that Abnormal ? I looked closely at the rogue Titan as he fought and noticed something. He had the exact same unique emerald eyes as...Eren. I started to lose my balance due to the shooting pain in my ankle but luckily Reiner secured his strong arm around me. We all watched, shocked, relieved and scared as the Titan fell, seemingly dead. Just as we were about to go, we noticed something. A person was coming out of the Titan's nape.

"EREN !" I yelled as I started running towards him. Reiner grabbed me, making me unable to move. "REINER LET GO ! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING ?!"

I watched as Mikasa and Armin came down and brought him out of the Titan carcass. He was alive...I sighed, relieved. Thank god.

Reiner had dragged me away from Mikasa, Armin and Eren and I just sat there with the others. Marco walked up to me, a bright smile in his face and he opened his arms.

"I'm so glad you're okay." He said, tears rolling down his cheeks.

"ONII-CH-..." I stopped myself as I was about to call him big brother and ran into his arms. "MARCO YOU'RE OKAY !!" I hugged him tightly, the man who had become a big brother to me. "I thought you were d-" I was interrupted by a Garrison soldier storming towards us.

"YUKI UCHIHA !" He grabbed my wrist. "You're coming with me." His eyes were full of fear and disgust.

"W-What ? But what did I do ?" I asked as Marco held me closer to him, protectively.

The man glared at Marco and he reluctantly let go. The soldier then dragged me to an area of the wall which was surrounded by soldiers and cannons and he threw me into the middle.

"YUKI !" Mikasa yelled as she helped me up. "What are you doing here ?"

"I...I don't know..." I got up and looked at the back of the wall. "Why are you, Eren and Armin here ? What's going on ?"

"They're accusing Eren of being a monster." She growled as she clenched her blades tighter.

"AND SO ARE YOU YUKI UCHIHA !" A brown haired man yelled. "WE HAVE REPORTS FROM SOME OF YOUR COMRADES THAT CLAIM TO HAVE SEEN YOU BURST INTO FLAMES BEFORE YOU KILLED A TITAN !"

The man then lifted his hands as a signal for a cannon to shoot. Time seemed to slow and I grabbed Armin and Mikasa. I instinctively bit my hand and a crystallized rib cage appeared around the 3 of us. I braced for the cannon ball's impact but it never came. When I looked up, Eren was gone and in its place, half a Titan stood above us. The rib cage I had created slowly turned to dust as I just sat there, in shock. Eren came running to us, asking if we were okay as the Titan's skull fell, creating a shield of smoke between us and the soldiers.

"I'm getting out of here." He said, a dark look in his eyes. "Yuki..." He looked at me and what was left of the rib cage I created. "You have to come too."

"W-What ? But where would we go ? I mean w-" I started, my voice shaking with anguish.

"Anywhere will do for now." He interrupted. "Then I'll go over the wall and go for the basement." He clenched his key tightly. "After I've changed into a Titan again."

We all decided that Armin should go talk to the soldiers and I smiled at him to reassure him that everything would be okay. As he spoke, Eren and I looked at each other. What in the hell were we ? Just as the man with the wide eyes and brown hair was about to lower his hand to signal for the cannons to shoot again, someone caught his wrist. A man who people called Commander Pyxis came out of the shadows and smiled at us. He told the wide-eyed man to give us a chance and I let out a sigh of relief.

All 3 of us stood on top of the wall as we listened to the Commander in complete silence. 

"Nope, none at all." He said, looking down at the Titans trying to climb. "I certainly wouldn't mind being gobbled up by a beautiful girl Titan..."

I stood there, leaning against Mikasa as we just stared at each other. What. The. Hell ? Eren then explained to him how the basement of his old house possibly held the answers to what was going on and the Commander then looked at me. I looked away, too confused with myself to say anything or answer any questions. After a few minutes of talking, the plan was simple. Eren was going to turn into a Titan and move the huge boulder in the middle of the city over to the gate. Mikasa, Armin and I were in charge of protecting him. Commander Pyxis then placed a hand on my shoulder and I flinched.

"You my dear. Try to use that fire you had back there alright ?" He asked with hope in his eyes.

"B-But sir I do-" I stopped as he shook his head.

"We're counting on you guys. We're resting our lives on your shoulders."
