Chapter 13

AM: Jai

Jai: (still looking up expressionlessly) Oh hi mom

AM sat beside him and encircled her arms around his shoulder.

AM: You alright baby?

Jai: Umm yee

AM: You know you can't lie to me. So tell what happened?

Jai: Nothing ma. Just dad's behaviour as usual. Ya dad

AM cupped his face.

AM: There is something else. From when did you started hiding things from me?

Jai looked into her eyes and tears flowed down his eyes. He lied in her lap and cried his heart out.

Jai: Mom mom my Reemie. My love. She didn't even talk to me today

AM was caressing his hair while he had his head still in his lap crying.  She didn't stop him because she knew he needed it and let him all out. He finally stopped crying and got up from her lap.

AM pour water in the glass from the jug kept beside the bed. She made him drink water.

AM: Now tell what happened?

Jai: Mom actually......

He told her everything how Avu behaved and how she didn't listen to him once and left. After that he didn't see her.

Jai: And ykw mom I came home and saw dad. I also wanna hug him. Wanna talk to him like best friends. He comes home rarely. But he only sees di. No I am not jealous of di. I love her no doubt but I also want that love mom. Don't I deserve to hug him, talk to him, be with him, share all my secrets with him, get his advices. But all he wants is his daughter

With that a sob escaped his mouth. After sometime, he slept in AM's lap while she was caressing his hair. She rested her head on headboard and slept like that.

The day passed.

Next day,

Re got discharged and she was at home and Sid taking care of her. AD left for his work. Five days passed, Re kept insisting him to go to the college she was fine. She will take care of herself. But Sid was too stubborn.

While Jai missed her a lot in college. He wanted to talk to her, apologize to her and get things right again but she didn't come. He was scared will he ever see her again? Did she left the college after hearing so much? Many thoughts were coming in his mind.

He didn't eat for 2 days. AM forced him to eat. So he ate lil bit. He used to go to college but his whole attention was on Re. He couldn't concentrate on his lectures. At home, he used to lock himself in a room and didn't talk to anyone.

Avu was noticing his behaviour. Deep inside, she was feeling his pain. But she just shrugged it thinking he is just overreacting. He can find a new girl like her.

After 2 days

At Sid's home

Sid: Are you fine now? Sure you wanna go to college?

Re: Yes bhayia. You have asked this millionth time. Yes I am fine. Let's go

Sid: If there is any problem....

Re: Yes yes I will inform you

Sid: And ya

Re: Take care of yourself

Sid: And....

Re: Don't talk to Jai, right?

She said in low voice. He nodded.

Re: Don't you trust me bhayia?

Sid: I do just worried

Re smiled.

Re: Don't worry. Let's go

Sid: Hmmmm

They went to college on their cycles as usual. They parked them. While going inside, Jai saw them and ran towards them.

Jai: Reemie

Re looked at him. Sid held her hand.

Sid:....
