TMNT Father/Son Fluff Oneshots

After the Mission (Emotional)

Requested by NewYearsGirl! Takes place after 'Tale of the Yokai'!

Summary: The turtles return to the lair after their adventure back in time. A worried Splinter greets them, wondering where they've been. So, they tell him.

*gives tissues*

This is gonna get emotional!

The turtles and Splinter: *already getting emotional*

Me: *already tearing up*

Splinter: *re-reads it* She is not wrong...you cheesecicles better get tissues...

The turtles walked through the portal. Their hearts still felt heavy from what they had witnessed. They understood their father so much more now.

Splinter had then walked in, worried. "M-My sons...?" He hadn't seen the turtles in almost three days. The turtle's eyes widened as they immediately ran to to Splinter.

Splinter hugged them tightly as the turtles hugged back just as tightly, burying their faces in their father's kimono. "Daddy!" They cried.

Splinter purred softly, holding his boys close as he tried to calm them, and himself, down. His mind had been swarming a moment ago with so many possibilities as to what could have happened to his sons.

He purred softly to calm them all down. The purring helped him calm down as well, it was almost therapeutic. The turtles eventually stopped crying.

"What happened...?" Splinter whispered. "We...it's crazy but...well, we went back in time." Leo choked out, wiping the tears from his eyes.

Splinter was shocked. "Back in time?" The turtles nodded. "18 years into the past, to Japan." Mikey added as Splinter's eyes widened even more.

"We know your gonna think this is crazy, but it happened...we met Tang Shen and Miwa..." Donnie said softly.

Splinter's eyes widened more. This was almost too much to take at once. He gripped onto the doorway. "Daddy...? Here, sit down..." Raph said.

Splinter did so, blinking back tears of shock. "You...met them?" He asked. The turtles nodded. "Yes...and I held Miwa..." Leo smiled a little sadly.

Splinter rubbed his son's head. "Daddy, we...we saw you and Shredder as humans..." Mikey said. "You look so weird without fur!"

Splinter couldn't help but chuckle a little. "I supposed so..." He wondered how much they'd seen. The turtles kept talking, seeming to read their father's mind.

"We saw the fight...and Tang Shen die..." Donnie whispered. Splinter looked down, holding back tears. "Yes...she risked her life to save mine..." He whispered.

In the past, Splinter had though that he should have been the one to take that hit, not Shen. She had perished a horrible death, all for him...

"Daddy...?" Raph whispered. Splinter pushed those dark thoughts away, forcing himself to keep composed. "I...I am fine, my sons..." He whispered, holding back tears.

The turtles hugged him tightly. "We saved you, daddy...that's why your here, why we're all here..." Leo said. "N-Nani...?" Splinter asked in shock.

"We pulled you out of the burning building...we saved you..." Mikey added. Splinter was shocked. He never knew how he'd gotten out of the building and survived.

Now, he did.

His musukos had saved him...

Splinter hugged his sons tighter than ever, finally letting the barriers break as he let his tears fall. The turtles hugged back just as tightly, crying.

This took an emotional toll on them...

They stayed like that for a while, just holding each other and crying. After everything they'd seen, heard and been through, they needed this...

After a moment of silence, the family seperated. "All that matters is that you got to meet your mother..." Splinter whispered, his voice broken up.

"Hai daddy..." The turtles whispered. "She was beautiful and kind, we wish she was still here..." Splinter nodded, holding them. "As do I..."

Then, Splinter hugged his sons tightly. "Thank you, my musukos..." The turtles hugged back with heavy hearts as they purred with their father.

"For everything..."
