past (continued)- a year later
'then winwin- i mean sicheng managed to run up forward towards the ball and he made the hoop.' jaehyun told, a wide proud smile for his friend on his lips.
'so you guys won?' taeyong smiled, his chin resting in his knee since he was in a leg-hugging position.
'yeah, all because of winwin.' jaehyun smiled to himself, laying down on the grass beneath them. 'the stars look so pretty today.'
'don't they always?' taeyong half whispered, fascinated by the way the stars would cover the sky like jewels, shining so richly. he laid next to jaehyun, their shoulders connected as they gazed at the sky jewels, with the silence that blanketing over them comfortably.
ever since the two had met, it was often that the two would meet almost every other day. jaehyun would always finish basketball earlier just to go see taeyong.
and taeyong had becoming trusting of jaehyun. he felt so secure around him that he even introduced him to his older sister.
they had become almost inseparable best friends. and sicheng noticed too. he would notice when jaehyun would talk about him and how his cheeks would lift, his eyes sparkling at each word that he spoke about regarding taeyong.
sicheng knew damn well that the friendship was way more; jaehyun had very obviously developed a crush on the other.
and sicheng was correct. jaehyun simply developed a normal crush on taeyong; an attraction further than just an attraction this time. but jaehyun never said it out loud, or even noticed. he was completely oblivious to it. he would even shrug it off when sicheng mentioned it.
and for taeyong? oh he fell hard. profoundly. he had not only developed a crush on his best friend, but in fact was way deeper than jaehyun was.
taeyong had fell in love. he was sure of it.
he would think of jaehyun day and night, wondering what he was doing when he wasn't by taeyong's side.
but taeyong never said a thing to jaehyun. and he didn't plan to either, until his mom had threatened him that they were going to move to an entirely new city once she had gotten the money.
he had to confess tonight. because if he didn't, he would regret it for the rest of his life.
taeyong knew he fell so hard that he wanted his world to revolve around jaehyun. and he forever wanted to feel the euphoria he felt when he was with jaehyun. even when they weren't out on some adventure and just sitting on jaehyun's bed talking about some dog shit non sense.
god, he wanted to feel it forever and ever. because it was his only source of happiness right now. if jaehyun wasn't by his side, he felt incomplete.
taeyong hesitantly rolled his head so he was gazing at jaehyun instead, watching with fondness in his eyes at the way jaehyun's mouth curled up at the sense of calmness from watching the beauty of the celestial bodies in the night sky.
'i could sleep here honestly.' jaehyun spoke in a soft tone.
but he finally felt taeyong's eyes upon him, slowly looking his way so their eyes met.
'hi.' taeyong basically blurted out, feeling the aching roar of butterflies in his stomach.
woah...jaehyun had never felt what he was currently feeling right now. suddenly, the vision was different for him. he had never seen taeyong from these lenses before.
