taeyong

taeyong's eyes flickered open, his sight being blinded by the sunlight that shone directly through the large windows of doyoung's apartment window.

he groaned softly as he tried to sit up, only for him to be trapped by yuta's arm wrapped around his waist while ten's legs drooping over taeyong's legs.

he gently slipped off from their cuddles while still maintaining their comfort by tangling the two together, taeyong connecting yuta's arm around ten's waist instead.

taeyong threw his hand on his temple, massaging it while his head mercilessly pounded as he removed himself from the jumble that was doyoung's idea to put his mattress in the living area for all five men somehow sleep in, doyoung and johnny finally seeking refuge on the couch for a more comfortable experience.

but instead of seeing johnny with the wide mouthed, snoring doyoung, he found doyoung in deep in his slumber with nobody on his side.

'you're awake.'

taeyong immediately spun around to follow where the familiar voice was coming from. his worries were soon at ease once he caught eyes with the smiling eyed older in the kitchen, a coffee in his hand and the headache medicine in his other hand.

'ah, john,' taeyong dragged himself to the kitchen. 'i thought you had left.'

'i thought you out of all people would know that i'm a morning person.' johnny once again caught eyes with the younger, taeyong biting his lip in response as he reached the fridge.

'how many bars did we end up going to last night?' taeyong questioned as he scanned doyoung's fridge for something other than kimchi stew.

'three,' johnny took a sip of his coffee. 'four if we're counting the one where we got instantly kicked out of because of doyoung's public disturbance.'

'couldn't be less surprised.' taeyong replied, giving in to the kimchi stew as he placed it on the kitchen top. 'may i take one?'

'go for it. i thought you'd need it.' johnny handed taeyong the medicine and made his way to get a glass of water for the boy.

but before taeyong could gratefully reach out his hand for the glass of water, the front door swung open with such force that made the two jump up in utter surprise.

the intruder was a tall man, one with the face of a puppy as he scanned the room until he reached the two in shock and paralysed males.

'oh shit.' jungwoo's eyes widened. 'this is doyoung's apartment, right?'

'who the fuck are you!?' johnny finally spoke.

'taeyong? like the magazine front page model?' jungwoo pointed to the completely terrified boy. 'nice to finally meet you.'

'again, who the fuck are you!?' johnny repeated, placing his coffee down.

'hey big guy, i'm doyoung's ex roommate. use that glass of water to wash down your worries.' jungwoo lifted up his finger. 'you two seen doyoung?'

taeyong immediately and dead silently pointed to the sleeping doyoung on the couch, not without being scolded straight after by johnny as the intruder approached the sleeping other.

'oi, bunface, wake up!' jungwoo shook him until the male groaned and lifted himself up.

'what...? jungwoo?' doyoung squinted his eyes, unsure whether he was really seeing the impatient other. 'what are you doing here!? i thought you went to like america or somewhere.'

'i've been calling you so many times,' jungwoo tugged doyoung to get up until he had finally gotten him on his feet.

'why? what's wrong?'

'i need to have a serious talk with you.' jungwoo stated, his eyes scanning the rest of the room. 'in private.'

without another word, jungwoo had dragged the confused other out of the living area and into doyoung's room, leaving the two other in utterly perplexed state.

'what is that about?' yuta finally sat up. 'who was that guy?'

'you were awake?' johnny asked.

'yes but not anymore. i'm going right back to sleep.' yuta nodded as he yawned while snuggling back with ten's still sleeping figure.

the two waited patiently, unsure of whether to save doyoung from the long talk or to just simply allow the scene to play out wherever they were. and finally, after several minutes, doyoung bursted out of the room, jungwoo's arm over his shoulders, a wide, abnormal smile struck on both of their faces.

'jungwoo, my dearest friend, you have a wonderful and gracious day. may the birds sing when you stroll away, dearest jungwoo!' doyoung spun the male around, johnny and taeyong wide eyed at the view.

'a good day to you too. may both of your pillow sides be cold tonight for comfort.' jungwoo ballerina spun to the door, reaching out his hand to doyoung like some masterpiece of a performance. 'and taeyong?'

taeyong jumped at the mention of his name, silently looking at jungwoo. the smile creepily grew larger once their eyes met, making taeyong paralysed.

'have a blessed day. may your wishes come true and the stars shine brightly for you.' jungwoo's smile softened, and taeyong almost believed the sincerity in his tone.

'...thank you.' taeyong responded in a monotone, receiving an approving nod as a response as jungwoo made his way out.

'are you guys twins or something?' johnny shook his head in disbelief at what he had just witnessed.

'no, but he is in fact the greatest person in this age.' doyoung clapped his hand together, switching towards the other two. 'taeyong, do me the biggest favour.'

'what is it?'

'go grocery shopping for me.'

'can johnny come with me?'

'no!' doyoung suddenly yelled, then shut his mouth instantly. 'no, i really really really need johnny for something. i'll send you the money right now.'

'...ok?' taeyong moved stiffly towards the door, not without grabbing his phone and wallet.

'wait, you're going like that?' johnny questioned, motioning to taeyong's clothes.

taeyong stared down at his white oversized shirt that was the slightest bit stained with whatever food they had last night on the bottom of the shirt, some wide checkered pajama pants that doyoung had probably let him borrow, and doyoung's black slippers.

'new fashion.' taeyong shrugged as johnny threw him a pack of gum. 'besides, it's just down the road anyways.

'at least take my jumper. you're a model in magazine covers.' johnny took off his enormous black jumper and threw it at taeyong.

'right. thanks. be back soon, i guess.' taeyong threw the jacket over his head and opened the door.

'make use of the gum, morning breath!' johnny called out jokingly.

'give you one when i'm back, coffee breath!' taeyong called back as he shut the door behind him.
