if it wasn't for the weight of jaehyun's arm pulling taeyong's body against his, taeyong would have thought that all of the last night's events were nothing but a dream.

to be honest, it felt exactly like a dream. taeyong wouldn't have predicted this, or believed that this would be how they would reconnect. or if they were to reconnect at all. it was his pessimistic mindset's fault.

but he no longer felt that, for jaehyun's presence was all he needed to look forward to whatever the future had to bring for him. even if it meant battles. with jaehyun, he could conquer the world.

with that in mind, taeyong rolled over, his aching body and muscles not stopping him from moving even closer to jaehyun. despite him being the depths of slumber, probably due to his exhaustion after hours of the happenings of before, taeyong caressed his lover with his thumb, a shaky and relieved breath letting out.

before he could kiss him, jaehyun's puffy eyes fluttered open. and he almost jumped in surprise, probably because to him, all last night only seemed like a dream to him too.

but seeing his beloved in his arms, feeling this thumb against his cheek, only made him squeeze him, closing his eyes as he nuzzled his face into taeyong's bare chest.

to feel his heartbeat against his face or feeling his chest move to the rhythm of his breathing was enough to calm him down, forgetting the world outside these walls around them.

they didn't have to say anything, just allowing each other's presence to fulfil their need for each other. it was enough.

but taeyong was the first to slip out of jaehyun's touch, jaehyun feeling suddenly empty but watching taeyong sit up on the bed in search of anything that he could cover his nude body with, such affection blinding him.

'can i use this shirt?' taeyong held up a white button up long sleeve blouse jaehyun would use for special occasions like a formal dinner with co-workers or directors.

instead of answering, jaehyun also slipped away from the comfort of his duvet, sitting up and eyeing taeyong, who almost melted just from jaehyun's gaze.

'you don't have to wear anything at all.'

taeyong's heart stung at the comment. not because he was offended or thought it was stupid, but because of how witty and mischievous the comment was. jaehyun was still there, with him. he had never changed since he was a naive senior in high school.

before taeyong could even make a facial expression, jaehyun took the shirt from taeyong hand.

'come here,' jaehyun said gently, taeyong complying immediately and knelt in front of jaehyun on the bed.

with a warm smile, jaehyun took the blouse and threw it onto taeyong shoulders, pulling his arms delicately through the sleeves and proceeded to button up the shirt for his lover.

the whole time, taeyong could not keep his eyes off of jaehyun, his eyes trailing upon his face as he examined every feature from his eyes, dimples, dough-like cheeks, dark deep brows and soft pink lips. he had the sudden urge to touch them, to see if they still felt the exact same.

and god, they did. the moment he laid his slender finger on jaehyun's pink lips, he felt it all over again. he fell in love, all over again.

'did they fall off?' jaehyun asked, leaving the top three buttons unbutton just for the exposure of taeyong perfect collarbones and chest.

'shut up.' taeyong whispered, jaehyun finally connecting his eyes with taeyong's.

but jaehyun knew what he meant, just by seeing the overflowing emotions in taeyong's eyes. and jaehyun immediately fulfilled taeyong's desire, eliminating the space and faintly placing his lips onto taeyong's smaller lips.

taeyong's arms subconsciously found their way around jaehyun's neck, pulling him closer as if he wasn't closer already.

their breathing synced, jaehyun wrapping his large arms around taeyong slim torso, connecting their bodies together again like their life depended on the connection of their bodies.

because honestly, it really did.

at last, after taeyong's patience was no longer, jaehyun finally allowed taeyong's tongue to enter his cavern, their tongues battling and tackling as breathing was no longer a necessity for them.

but before either of them could die for the lack of oxygen, jaehyun removed his lips from taeyong's painfully slowly, just to feel taeyong's lips brush against his.

their eyes were both wet, both of them trying so hard for tears not to form. it was all too strong, too dangerous, too beautiful, too deep.

'taeyong,' jaehyun took taeyong's hand into his warm, filling it with kisses as taeyong swallowed the lump in his throat, watching jaehyun peck his milky hand with adoration.

however, jaehyun stopped, lifting his eyes back at him as taeyong's eyes widened at the glossiness of jaehyun's eyes.

'let's not leave each other again.' jaehyun's deep voice trembled.

that was all it took for taeyong to finally release his tears again, his heart throbbing at the memories and times they were apart. seven years.

'never,' taeyong whispered, pulling jaehyun into his arms as he began to sob into the other's chest.

god, never ever again. their hearts both knew that they couldn't. they needed each other like oxygen, food, water.

for the rest of the day, taeyong and jaehyun laid on jaehyun's bed, taeyong falling in and out of sleep as he rested his head on jaehyun's bare chest while the sun through the window put a warm, calming blanket on the two until it painted the sky orange and purple.
