it was jungwoo and jaehyun, pacing through the streets on a friday evening as they walked passed each crowded restaurant seeking a place to eat chicken and drink beer.
'everywhere's so crowded tonight.' jungwoo pouted in surprise. 'what's the occasion?'
'full moon?' jaehyun suggested.
'full moon?' jungwoo threw him a confused glance.
'i don't know. i just guessed the moon had some correlation.' jaehyun shrugged, jungwoo chuckling at his best friend's thoughts.
as they continued to pace, a sudden cheering sounds roared from the restaurant they were currently in front of.
'sounds like somebody got engaged.' jungwoo peered through the window, followed by jaehyun.
instead, a group of men were roaring and applauding to a male who seemed to be walking along the walkway through the tables.
that's when jaehyun's heart stopped.
with his head chin up, angelic and fragile movements, the love of his life fashionably walked, his face a deep red with embarrassment as what seemed like his friends roared at him in excitement.
jesus, and wasn't he the most beautiful thing God had ever created.
he could feel his heart racing yet again as he reached the window.
'wait, is that-?' jungwoo knew instantly who it was, linking arms with the male and dragging him quickly.
'jungwoo! it's him!' jaehyun complained, trying to drag himself back to the window.
'yeah, but now isn't the time.' jungwoo tugged harder as if jaehyun couldn't just pull him with his might.
'jungwoo, what if this is the only time i see him again?' jaehyun stopped at his tracks, peering at the boy desperately.
jungwoo reached out and placed his hands on both of his friend's shoulders, looking him straight into his eyes.
'jaehyun,' he began, his gaze so deep into the male's eyes that it caused jaehyun to shut his mouth instantly. 'i am promising you right now, this is not the last time you'll see him again. ok?'
jaehyun stood flabbergasted at the seriousness of his friend's tone, causing him to do nothing else but nod slowly.
a large part of him was telling him to just turn around and run to taeyong. but he knew he couldn't.
at least not now.
'now let's go home and just order pizza. all the restaurants seem full anyways.' jungwoo patted jaehyun's shoulder before throwing his arm around his shoulder.
he was so close. so, so close.
