I get to the arcade a few minutes late. My mom was sleeping and I didn't want to bother her, she's had a long week.

I peeked through the double glass doors and saw a variety of old arcade machines and things like air hockey, basketball and claw machines.

I looked towards the side of the building with the Dance Dance Revolution machines and race car driver games. I saw Calvin, Emma, and a few other familiar faces. Calvin waved me over.

"Hey Ava! Glad you could come." he said, while winking at me.

What?! What does a wink mean...is he flirting? Am I flirting?

"Erm..yeah."

One of the other people spoke up about the "plan". I think his name was Nick.

"Alright, we all seem to want to do different things, and the maximum amount of players is like 4, and there's 8 of us. So you can ride solo or get in a group or something."

Moments later people started separating into groups, until there was no one else but me standing there. Emma went to hang out with Nick, and Calvin is talking to someone.

Calvin turned around and looked at me, then walked towards me.

"Who're you hanging with?" He asked me.

"Solo I guess..."

"Sorry, no way."

He stepped next to me and interlocked his arm into mine.

"Come on, let's have some fun."

First we played a round of air hockey. I won by 5 points. Then we took turns racing in a car game. His score was 2569, and mine was 2488. I have to say, he's pretty good at driving.

"Ava! Ava! The arcade is closing in 10 minutes. We can squeeze in one more game. What do you wanna do?"

"I don't know...whatever you want is fine."

"Hm..."

Calvin scoped the room looking for something.

He chuckled.

"What?"

Calvin grabbed my hand and drags me over to a Dance Dance Revolution machine.

"Oh no, I can't dance."

"Nope, can't get out of this one. You said whatever."

"Fine." I said quietly.

"Yes! I get to pick the song! Turn around."

He spun me around so I couldn't see the screen.

"You better pick an easy one..."

After a few sound effects and tapping, he told me to turn around and arrows started flashing in bright colors on the screen as the intro played.

The song started with a soft guitar beat and after a few moments, you could hear drums and singing.

Calvin looked down at me with a wicked grin.

Is this that one song by Queen?

The chorus rang throughout the arcade room gathering many peoples attention.

"This thing, called love. I just can't handle it."

I started stepping on the platforms as the song continued to play and Calvin was grinning mischievously at me.

Is he planning something? At least this is a short song..

After a few more lines of chorus are over, it is halfway through the song. Calvin turns towards me and he grasped me by my waist and started slow dancing.

What is he doing?! Don't you need consent for this?

He started singing along to the song .

"I gotta be cool," he began.

"Relax" he breathed into my ear, sending shivers down my spine.

I jumped out of his reach and tried to regain my footsteps so I wouldn't look like I failed tremendously.

The song got quieter and the music slowed down until the song came to a halt. Calvin glared down at me and smiled at me again, for about the 30th time that night.

"See, wasn't that fun?"

"No." I said quietly.

"What?! It was totally fun."

"I told you that I don't like dancing." I said even quieter, with a slight attitude in my voice.

"Oh shush, you were blushing the whole time. You had fun."

I was? Shit. I can't like him. He's just playing with me. Like one of his little side hoes that I'm sure he has.

"Well, I gotta go. See you later Calvin."

"Wait! Can I walk you home?"

"No." I answered immediately, in a harsh tone.

"Oh, okay...sorry if I made you mad before."

"It's fine. I'm not mad about it."

"Okay good. See ya later."

"Bye."

I walked out of the double doors leading outside into the cool, crisp September air. I heard Calvin mumble something under his breath before the door closed behind me.

"There goes my baby."

I'm going to kill him.
