I spent the rest of my weekend studying and doing homework, since I had spent Saturday hanging out with Calvin.
But today was Monday, and it was time to go to school again. Calvin wasn't waiting at my house this morning though, which definitely raised some of my suspicions.
I'm assuming he's ill, or skipping most likely.
I never realized how lonesome it was walking by yourself.
Ring!
I get a message on my phone.
Unknown Number: Hey, sorry I couldn't walk with you today. I lost track of time and I slept in too late. I would have shown up, but I'm sure you don't want me to come down there in my boxers...unless you do ;). But anyways, I'll see ya later.
~Calvin
Huh? How did he get my number? That creep...
After 5 more minutes of walking, I arrived at school.
Class went by quickly, and after English class, I went to my locker to return my textbook. I checked my phone to see if my mom had texted me about her work or not, but I see another message.
Unknown Number: Meet me by your locker at 3:15. If I don't see you, then I'm going to kill you ^3^.
~Calvin
Erm, okay? Should I trust him? But I should really change his contact name...
Hours pass until I'm in history class, and the clock reads 3:10. I raise my hand and ask to use the restroom. My teacher grants me permission, and I head towards my locker. I open it, and act like I'm going through its contents so I don't look suspicious to the passing supervisors.
I stand up, and check my surroundings. Calvin is kneeling by another locked pod.
He nodded his head, motioning me to come towards him. I crawled to him and he smiled.
"Anxious to see me? It's only 3:13." he smirked.
"You wish."
"Sure do. Come on, I wanna show you something."
"Okay...don't be long though. I told Mr. Waltz that I was using the bathroom."
"Yeah, yeah whatever...you may want to pull up your hood by the way."
"Why?"
Calvin didn't answer my question, but instead grabbed my wrist and started running down the hallway. I used my other hand to pull my hoodie over my head.
"You're insane!"
"I know."
"Hey! What are you two doing out of class?" I heard a voice call behind us.
"Shit, supervisors!"
We ran faster until we ran out of the double doors in front of the school building. In front of the school, there is a stone path leading to the doors, and decorative bushes in fancy shapes.
Calvin pushed me into one of the bushes and covered my mouth.
We heard footsteps clicking on the stone pathway circle around a few times, then the slamming of huge metal doors. I bit the palm of Calvin's hand that was still covering my mouth.
"Ow!"
"Are you insane?!" I whispered. "We almost got caught!"
"But we didn't."
I squinted my eyes, and glared at him.
"What did you want to show me anyways?"
"Oh yeah, let's go."
