The only thing I remember from last night is that I passed out while someone was shoving a hot pocket in my mouth...I don't remember who though, and I'm sure no one else will.
We were woken up at the crook of dawn by our maid, who was telling us that we needed to go down and meet with everyone else and have breakfast.
We all got up, and headed down together. Emma and I weren't surprised to see that Calvin and Nick had already saved us seats at a small table near the back of the foyer. Christina and Amelia disappeared once we got to the first floor.
"Have a good night sleep you two?" asked Nick.
We both groaned, and took our seats.
Calvin glared at me with a peculiar look, and tried to touch my hair.
"What?"
"Why are there Doritos crumbs in your hair?"
Emma looked at me with an uneasy face, then bursted out laughing. I chuckled as well, and eventually we both turned into a laughing mess. A few people started staring at us like we were crazy, but we were too tired to care. A few minutes later, we both had tears running down our cheeks and Calvin and Nick were staring at each other, looking concerned.
"We're fine. Don't worry." Emma said, then flashing a smile.
"Okay then, let's eat, shall we?" said Nick.
I'm not a big breakfast eater but I always jump at the opportunity for free food. I got a Belgian waffle, bacon, toast, and a coffee. It was pretty good for what seemed like a cheap hotel. I ate until I felt sick, and I let Calvin eat the leftover piece of my waffle.
"That...was...delicious." Nick mumbled while rubbing his stomach.
I saw a chaperone standing in the middle of the foyer, looking ready to announce something.
"Attention students, after you have finished your breakfasts, go to your room and get ready for a day at Ellis Island. It is going to be a chilly day today, so bring out your jackets! When you are ready, meet with your designated chaperone at the entrance of the hotel, and they will escort you to the buses when everyone is ready. If you have any questions, please contact a teacher or chaperone."
"Well, meet you guys at the entrance later then?" asked Calvin.
"Sure-"
I was interrupted by two boys coming up to our table.
"Hey Calvin, can you show us where the room is again? We kinda...forgot." said a blonde guy.
Calvin sighed, and stood up.
"Sure thing, guys. Well, we'll meet up with you guys later."
"Alrighty."
The four boys walked off towards the elevator, but the blonde guy looked back, and his eyes lingered on mine before entering the elevator.
"I'm guessing those were his roommates? I wonder if Nick and Calvin are rooming together too..?" said Emma.
"I suppose...wait. Do the guys have to sleep in the same beds too?" I said while laughing.
"I hope! They'd probably get up in the middle of the night to say "no homo" to the other guy if their legs touched or something." Emma said, while starting to laugh as well.
We headed up to our rooms to get ready for our first destination. Christina and Amelia weren't inside, so I figured they were still eating. I first brushed by teeth, and went into the bathroom to change my clothes. I got a pair of jeans, a blue short sleeved shirt with an owl on it, and my Converse. I walked over to the mirror and brushed my hair. I pulled it up into a high ponytail, and tied it up with a blue scrunchy.
