A few hours later, our plane landed in New York, and we got taxis to take us to our hotels. Luckily, everyone in Mr. Waltz's class was staying in the same hotel. I was rooming with three other girls, in a two bed room.
I guess the school was really trying to save money while planning...
When we were told to report to our hotel rooms, I found my room number, and a sheet of paper with four names on it.
Occupants:
~Emma Adams
~Christina Griffith
~Ava Moriko
~Amelia RhodesAt least I'm rooming with someone I know...I don't know who Amelia and Christina are...I just hope they're nice.
I heard footsteps behind me and I felt someone hug me from behind.
"Eeeee! Hey roomie!"
I laughed.
"Jeez Emma, are you trying to give me a heart attack?"
"Oh, sorry! This day just keeps getting better and better!"
"Yeah, I noticed that you seem pretty energetic. What's up?"
She laughed like a school girl, then sighed dreamily.
"It's just...Nick."
Oh boy...here she goes...
"He's do dreamy...and cute...and AMAZING!" she shouted.
"Shh! Do you want to get us kicked out on the first day?!"
Emma laughed again, then slapped my back.
"Oh, quit worrying! It's time to have fun! You know the chaperones said that the activities don't start until tomorrow, so we're free to do whatever we want! But we still have to follow curfew and shit like that. I think we have to do a final count at 11 p.m."
Really? They're letting us do that? Someone could get kidnapped or something..whatever! Free time!
"Then, what are we waiting for? Let's go!"
"Wait."
"What?"
"Shouldn't we put away our luggage first?"
"Oh, yeah."
We unlocked the door with our key cards and walked into our room, and threw our luggage on the bed farthest from the door. I grabbed $20, since I figured we would be getting a lot of shit.
I guess we already clarified that we're sleeping in the same bed...
I also took a moment to look at the design of our hotel room. There was a stripped carpet that matched with the color scheme of the whole room. They were very summery colors and it reminded me of a desert. On the left side, there was a glass table with rolley chair under it, and there was a flat-screen T.V. on it, with a guide to the channels and a binder of information. There was also a coffee maker, microwave, and newspaper. Next to that, there was a large wicker lamp that illuminated the room, and a red chair. The beds had a red, beige, and white comforter on it. There was a small table that sat in between the two beds, with a lamp, telephone, a notepad, and list of phone numbers.
The bathroom was just a typical hotel bathroom. There was a small toilet, stand up shower, a large mirror with a sink/counter below it, and a towel rack. There was also a large closet that we all had to share.
Not bad...
When we decided to head out, I walked out and saw a few other girls scouting to try and find their rooms. There was basically a floor for the girls to stay in , and one for the guys to stay in. Since we were on the floor above the boys, there we're barely any boys on this floor besides a few chaperones and some students.
